New to ESAT... never knew a forum ike this existed till I began searching.
I wrecked my Nokia 6700 classic some months ago and have recently acquired thru ebay a simless Nokia C5-00... it is locked to T mobile here in the UK... not a network I trust... everything I read about them is negative.
All the phone networks and shops wanted to supply me with phones I didn't want.
The C5 00 has just what I want with a conventional keypad. Ideal for me
I've been told it cannot be unlocked... hmm? ... if something can be assembled it can be disassembled... if something can be locked it can be unlocked.
Can anyone help with this... otherwise I will bung it back on ebay and search for another phone.

Hi,
In most cases when a cellular phone is purchased from a service provider,
it is often sim locked to that provider such that only sim cards from that particular service provider will work. Cell phone unlocking removes this carrier lock, it enables you to use your phone with any sim card, regardless which provider you bought it from.
