Looking to get the cheapest PAYG sim only deal with Max Mins and Texts and Web for a family member who's on a tight budget so can't be those 12 month contract deals and not giffgaff either.

Seriousley not giff gaff?
btw I think three / 3 are prob the best bet for Data wise have a look

Posted by julias
giffgaff are good but they are awkward since you can only purchase their bundles online and not everyone can get online all the time and three sims can only be used in three phones so that ones out too.

Three cos for £15 to £25 per month top up you get TRULY unlimited internet,5000 texts,5000 free 3 to 3 minutes plus cross network minutes but not sure how many

Posted by julias
Again Three is useless as their sims can only be used in Three specific phones and don't work in any sim-free phone.

Posted by Bonovox
Yes they do. I have had many sim free 3G enabled phones & the 3 sim worked in all of them.

Posted by julias
Really didn't know that?tried a three sim once in a non 3 phone and it didn't work maybe that's changed now.How many free cross network mins do you get anyway?

Posted by Bonovox
Give me a sec I will check. I put a 3 sim in my siim free N8 no problems & an Android sim free handset. I think that was years ago that problem

Thanks mate

Tariff was a little different than I thought I think you get more mins for £25 top up

Posted by julias
Not looking to pay £25 a month since its PAYG looking at paying not more than £10-15 month but would ideally like more than 300 X Network mins.

Posted by Bonovox
Yes & even £15 gives you unlimited data

As i mentioned its not data i'm to fussed about its the x network mins i need.

3 sims only work within 3G handsets not 2G handsets I think thats what you meant?
which is correct

have you looked at T-Mobile? ask Bonovox about those

Posted by Bonovox
Not sure T Mobile pay & go tariffs but things are changing next month on T Mobile contracts & pay & go minutes. From next month 08 numbers will be included in free mins

Posted by julias
Yes i have looked at T-mobile and their tariffs don't offer anything special either.

Ughh yes this is true, but you can queue bundles so that they start after each other, so say you want 6 months on the £15 bundle you take out six £15 bundles. And how can't you get on internet all the time? it costs 20p per day up to 20MB which is ample to connect and top up?!

O2 do alot of free mins on pay & go

So if you queue them does that mean you pay for them all together or each time every month?and again as i mentioned this isn't for me but for a much older family member who is isn't tech savvy and doesn't use the web much let alone mobile web.

Ah, I just checked you actually can only queue one goodybad a head of the one you're currently on. But I'd still recommend it because if you're obviously not tied down to paying a certain amount a month, so say you know that in February you probably wouldn't benefit from a goodybag, then you can just wait till the next month, or let it start later that month when you know you will make it worth your while...

Also you say they won't use mobile web but in your opening thread you ask for a contract with max web? Because depending on how much they call and text they may not benefit from a contract at all, giffgaff as PAYG on its own is 6p texts and 10p calls.

Giffgaff was always the first best option but if i can't find anything will have to take it as no other network seems to beat their tariffs.

Okay well if you decide to go for it, if you order a SIM from my referral link we both get £5 credit bonus!

Posted by julias
Sure ok no probs will do that.
