I'll sell my ION this week. I'm not happy with my baby...
I don't sell it because of the battery, there are many other things they annoying me. One big point are the f**king touchbuttons... Also I didn't like is the very low voice-quality... It's a disaster for a so big highend luxury device. Shame on you sony.
For 500,-EUROs I can buy much better phones... And I shit on the ugly expensive T also!!! No SONY can compete with the ARC!!!
I'll buy RAZR HD next!!!

I have the ION HSPA version, so no LTE! Battery is not good. I have turned everything off! Maximum 2-3 days only for calling and sms! If play music and videos and surfing on web max. 1 day with full-charge! My ARC or my old S3 are double times stronger, at least!

agree.. touchbuttons and battery sucks bigtime!
i charged my ion twice daily.. eventhough in standby mode, it drained so fast!

Actually, it's true story. And, congratulations for your decision to buy RAZR HD, I'm sure you'll have a great time with it. Once you buy non-Sony phone you'll realize how much you've missed.

There is definately something not okay! Android System drinking your battery empty... Maybe try factory reset or reinstall last android version via PPC. And notice, kill always active apps which you don't need when you let your phone in standby-mod, also turn off WiFi etc...

all my wireless connections(wifi, nfc, bt) including auto-sync, fb inside xperia and location services are always OFF. but my battery drained quicky even if in standby mode!
im tired of this unit since i charged it every 8 hrs.
i will sell to my friend and get samsung note 2!

Harsh as Mediar can be ... anyone to you and probably to many others to read his gripes about Sony Android products ... I think deep down he likes the company and wants them to improve. Like it or not, WE as users, nah ... Sony needs people like him to voice their concerns, show their disdain so that Sony can actually improve.
reason why Android is so successful regardless of the various manufacturers; its because of them:
Motorola = incredible battery life (only now is it slowly being challenged by LG Optimus G) great choice of optimal materials for increased build quality and nano coating.
LG = prowess with multi-core cpu's (first with dual, first with quad, now first with Krait S4+) and incredible LCD with non-pentile tru RGB!
Sony = incredible engineering with Camera modules, animation fluidity, and innovative BT headsets and smart watches!
(watches before anyone else in the industry even thought of them some 6yrs back).
HTC = great hardware build materials; not sure how unique this is any longer.
(I cannot think of the others but there has to be something with all of them).

I've had four SONY phones: Xperia S, ION, T and TX.
I can assure that Xperia ION is the best in three sections:
- Display (Best viewing angles, brighter, best sunlight legibility, best contrast)
- Build Quality (design is awesome and it's built like a tank, with high quality plastics and aluminum)
- Sound Quality (music through headphones is clear, with deep bass and better definition, I think that the output impedance on Xperia T/TX is worst).
Sure, s3 snapdragon is less efficient than s4, but in overall terms the Xperia ION is for me the best sony phone on 2012.

Agreed but the white background display seems yellowish on my Ion...
