For Mini/Mini Pro users, is there any other Launcher app that has the option for a 4-corner folder layout?

@rikken any improvements in the camera department?

Still waiting for my carrier to do the same but I might root it and get a different region on it.

Seems to be less noise in pictures, image files are larger and now pictures are in widescreen. Also different camera layout

Are those pictures which are now in widescreen still 5 MP? Or are they smaller, like 3 MP? I guess so, right? (otherwise they wouldn't be 5 MP anymore )

Otherwise, are there any improvements in video quality? I've read that in ICS videos which were taken with image stablizer on are stuttering a bit? Can you confirm that? (hopefully not...)

Here is an example, taken with Xperia Pro:

Oh man, that really sucks
I hope a fix for that (aka a FW update) is coming soon.

Is video recording on Gingerbread also stuttering, regardless if image stabilizer is on or off?

Btw., is the photo quality of the Xperia Mini comparable with the quality of the photos taken with the older Xperia X10 Mini, or are they even the same? Because i own the X10 Mini, so then i already would have an idea what kind of photo quality i can expect from the Xperia Mini

No.

Is the back button bug fixed with the Mini now ? I'm gonna buy one in the next couple of days

Posted by mustafabay
Just got the Mini Pro. Not sure if I should update to ICS yet. I heard about a problem with a few of the buttons which may or not be fixed yet. What would be the 3 reasons to stick with Gingerbread and 3 reasons to go ICS. And does chrome work on the MP?

Posted by Intemporium
I will not update untill the system is stable, I see to much problems with ICS on Mini Pro.

You talk about the Xperia pro ... but this is Xperia Mini Pro ...
On this video you can see that the Xperia Mini Pro does NOT have this problem that the Xpro has ...

For me the battery life has been more or less the same as my old GB 2.3.3

Does the Tethering still work on your phones? because in my mini pro doesn't

Home screen rotation
I have found this app that was originally made for the Google Nexus 7 for home screens rotation ... tried it on my Mini and it works!
app.

It's known issue with the ICS update - Tethering doesn't work on all 2011 Xperia devices.

EDIT: @pt020 - great find! Works great on my Xperia Pro as well! Except for the camera. But then you can set the app to "Default" for a while when you have to use the camera and turn it back to Auto afterwards.

Whenever it is, I don't recommend you to upgrade ( because it's actually a downgrade ).

So now that I'm on ICS, am I stuck?

I keep on being told I'm low on memory and most apps have been failing to update including gmail. I'm pretty sure I have everything on my memory card. And my internal memory is always hovering around 42MB.

Posted by FMW300
I experience the exact same thing with my Live, together with random freeze-ups/reboots a couple times a week & slightly laggy performance sometimes. I believe there is another ICS update to come soon that should remove some of the bugs & improve performance.

Posted by litemint
I preferred using a custom rom and a kernel

Currently im using Real Ics 5.2 with Rage Kernel 32 and a tweak like SuperCharger.

Optimized, snappy, battery saver.

Some screenies

Posted by pundit
^^ does beats headphones working with that custom rom? Because on stock rom beats/iphone earphone is not supported.

Posted by litemint
I dont have beats headphone, only a sony earbud and headset, the one you see on the screenshot, its just an addon to walkman. I believe that sound modules on some HTC phones with beats is similar to it.

Got my xperia mini ST15i today

Posted by hgautam
I updated my Live with walkman with the new firmware that got released 2 days back and the phone is now much much better than the first ICS update that was released previously... It's now almost on par with 2.3 if not better... Lot of performance improvement and bug fixes from previous version...

Hope the same will apply for mini and mini pro when they get updated too...

Mine works better too! No freeze-ups/restarts yet! No improvement in battery life, though, and the LED issue is still there.

Gingerbread is still the topchoice for ST15i users. Me myself is satisfied over an unrooted and locked Bl phone

I have a Live and the display is not bad at all. Don't have a Mini or Mini Pro to compare with, but videos look very crisp.
I wonder if the ICS update is available too....
