and letsbuy.com is selling the balck set with 8gb MSDHC and jabra bluetooth hands-free for rs.15,399. unfortunately discount coupons are not allowed. i think.

Ceaser: I got the creepy button type headphones (not in-ear type). You are lucky that, in your country you have all those things. Here in Bangladesh, there isn’t any official SonyEricsson retailer… Few private companies import individually from different countries and sale them here…. Some give service (not parts) warranty by them; some don’t give any warranty…
As I said earlier, mine imported from Indonesia and it is Green-Heart version. Even the word “GreenHeart” embossed on charger.
I’ll post my initial review with some pictures soon.

Yes mine has the very low electrostatic noise. But I think it doesn’t matter to me. I don’t shoot video with my mobile normally and this noise only listenable on a video that shoot in fully silent environment and have to listen that video also in silent room. That sound doesn’t come on earpiece or headphones while in a call.
It is 11W34.

# First of all; this is not only a cell phone, it is also a piece of art.
# The build quality is great. The white color with chrome combination is looking excellent.
# Home key is little bid hard to press; it shouldn’t be that much hard.
# The touch sensitivity is too much, maximum time accidentally open apps while you want to navigate the screen left to right or right to left.
# Battery life is great. On first charge it died after only 12 hours. But on second charge it has been running on third day and still left 18% with normal use.
# Due to white back-light color on keyboard and white body color, sometimes signs aren’t visible on keypad.
# Display is vivid and clear but few more pixels should be there. May be my eyes use to with retina display, so I expecting too much.
# The slider when close, it is little bit loose/wobble with a little push. It is not a big deal. As pt020 said, it is bother when you try to press the shutter key. But with slider open, it is just a rock-solid.

no, the prob. is not resolved till now, i think. even the 11W35 handsets also having this issue, some members reported with the same manuf. date.

seems most of the handsets are having this issue and also some other issues. but, till now SE didn't give any satisfy answers/remedy/fix/recall/whatever, to customers who have already bought the phone with issues.
the handset don't give any probs. initially. but, it slowly showing one by one probs. i think. i don't know but seeing the replies from forum members i can get an idea.
better u've to wait a little more time to get the same model, see if SE is releasing the next batch with all probs. fixed. if u want urgently and gonna try, i won't force u not to buy. best of luck, hope u'll get a good set.
some members here like pt020, adnan, bonovox, etc., they didn't report any issues till now. i think they are lucky to get those handsets.

someone is selling mini pro at ebay so, i asked the member to upload the original pics of the handset and accessories to my email, yes it comes with in-earphone and an extra blue back cover for the black set & a tiny microsd with a tiny storage capacity(2gb) for this little monster(shame on SE not providing any bigger capacity internal/external memory).

jd, its really shame. I am going to buy at the end of October, at diwali time. So lets hope something come out of
regarding problem. As far as my need concern, i can cope up with the noise until it sounds in all environment like traffic or party. I hardly shoot video in silence places. From my point of view, the slider must not loosen up or the belt cable connection between cpu and qwerty keypad must not get damaged.
pt020, does your mini handle two bluetooth connections at a time. How frequent your liveview or mw600 loose connection with phone??? My k850 and ds980 often loose connection in a day, specially when phone rings (at start of a call). can your liveview start or stop music in mw600 also ????

wow u both r having the same static noise issue, i thought most of the handsets are affected by this. but, now i came to know that all handsets r having this issue. i can't believe it. till now nobody knows this is related to hardware/software failure, even SE also keeping silent.
the noise is not only in video recordings, but, it seems almost there all the time. i think.
u can hear the noise by removing the back cover and keep ur ear near to the earphone jack in the upside-back while the phone is in idle mode.
someone reported that noise is gone when the phone is connected to the usb port of PC/laptop or power charger.

The electrostatic noise is almost always there when device is active (we've tested it earleir and noise is there even when screen is off)!!! HOW TO TEST
So to test if you're (un)lucky (TEST A) you can shoot a video in relatively silent environmaent and play it back on above average volume AND/OR take the following short steps:
TEST B
1. Make and keep your screen active/lit (it's easy e.g. start camera app... not essential, but that's the easiest way)
2. Put your device very close to your ear - that part where you can find the jack's hole
3. Listen to the insect-like electrostatic noise there...
For me it's frightening to listen to this, I'm afraid it ruins lifetime of the phone!
Remark:
-when USB is plugged in AND connected to a charger/laptop - the noise is gone: seems like grounding of a bizarre interference.
Very likely, but not 100% certain other findings:
-The headphone jack's unplugged/plugged state don't alter the noise
-It's not really screen, rather activity related. Active screen strongly correlates with more intensive operation, but not exclusively, the noise can be reproduced with the screen off!
-Unlikely it's the battery: other types of SE mobile phones use the battery type EP500 as well, seemingly without this noise
-Unlikely it's the processor: very limited sound can be heard during boot process, which is very intensive for the processor
-I couldn't test it, but reported: noise is gone when CPU is at nearly max. load: cca. 99%"

I'm thinking whether to buy an Xperia mini, but I have few questions:
Is there any way to edit or create themes, or you can just use the preset colour shemes?
Is really a common hardware issue the malfunctioning of back and option keys? -the electrostatic noise, which is noticeable in some recorded videos is present in all the devices, and can it be in connection with the malfunctioning of the keys?

Well, there are three ways by which you can force the problem to appear on your unit, if your unit has the problem:
1) Setting the phone on charge and when it's nearing 100% get into the app draw dnd try to open an app.
2) Calling someone for more than 10 minutes.
3) Watching videos or playing games for some time may also cause the issue to manifest.
Some have said that the problem manifested straight away whereas others have said that the problem started to take place after a few days/weeks. Not all units seen to have the issue. Mine does not appear to have it yet, touch wood.

I was just browsing the youtube videos of mini pro uploaded by official sony ericsson namely sonyericssonsupport. Look what i have found. They already know this noise problem and will rectify that in next update. See the highlighted rectangle in the pic. This was posted one week ago. And this week some of mini pro users are having update notification. Can anyone of those who have updated to latest update confirm the noise problem???

The problem with the keys is an overheating issue which affects only the minis. The cause of the problem remains unknown, though SE Philippines maintains that the problem lies with the motherboard.
the pro has it's own issue, noise when using the HD video camera. This is supposedly a S/W flaw which will be sorted out with a firmware upgrade.

I'm pretty glad I waited for the mini pro
Camera is decent, music quality is great , calls are clear, internet browsing and social media use is pleasant. Price is pretty good too & I love the compactness of the phone despite the physical keyboard.
An added bonus is that I"m able to view powerpoint presentations on the pro - which is awesome.

Mine doesn't make any sound. It is really rock-solid. when you attached the back cover, you have to press hard to close it fully at one side (the opposite side of where you start to open the back cover). Check carefully that every angle settle down perfectly.
