Did anyone actually ever buy the xperia pureness? because i don't know anyone who's actually bought one not seen any sale in the forums either has it been discontinued? I quite liked that phone when first announced so shame it never really took off and i presume the price must have dropped too as it was very expensive at launch.

I don't even think the price has gone down that much, although rumour has it that there is a Pureness 2 being developed.

Has it not?can't see it on the SE Shop either maybe its discontinued?

With it's high price & lack of the features people want these days I doubt it sold well anyway

The xperia pureness was never about the features anyway and i just read that the pureness 2 will have even fewer features

It's still a cool phone

I agree its very cool and what i like most about it is that its unlike anything else out there so completely unique

Last week I found one displayed at "Media Markt" (Germany)..

I played with it a bit.. Nothing fancy but the style and the display.
The price was somewhere around 200€ btw.. Can't remember quite exactly..
But that's way lower than the debut price if I remember correctly..

No one seems to be selling any here so no idea what they are worth now?

the idea behind the xperia purness was actually really really good
it only failed in execution
the display was fancy, but you couldn't read it in sunlight - so the phone was hardly usable
the main problem was probably the price tag - with 700euros way beyond realism
i was close buying one, but 700euro were just a killer

i hope for a second generation

From the reviews i read the display was readable in daylight and pics here confirm that and in terms of direct sunlight then many phones fail there.

It's actually a good looking phone but not enough features to gain a lot of attention

Here are some pictures I took today at Media Markt.. I went there to play with the Arc and the Play a bit..

It's priced at 250€ sim-free.. A drop from 700€ in one year (maybe less) should tell a lot..
Liked the keyboad though.. The screen is very usable/readable, though I could only see that what's visible on the photos since there were to SIM installed to navigate through the phone's UI..
