Image stabilization not working in W995?

Hello everybody, this is my first post here

Thing is I have a w995, I noticed photos of moving targets come kind of blurry, so I turned on the "image stabilization" option, wich, from what I know, helps to prevent movement on photography (am I right?). Thing is, I dont see any difference between on and off, its pretty much the same from what I see. I also realised there are really obvious ugly shadows on dark places pictures, Im not complaining about pictures being too dark, but about shadows being too pixelated/solid.

So, what's wrong here?, is it just the way the camera is?, or maybe could it be the software?, I have R1EA033, wich is the one it had the time I bought it, tried to update it through SEUS but it said I already have the last software o.O

try tu update to the newest FW R1HA035 with the A2Uploader or change CDA and than update wia SEUS.
But imho the stabilization is not for moving objects, it reduces small shacking of your hands when you trying take the picture. The camera on W995 is kinda poor, but with good camdrivers(i prefer Extreme sharpnes 3.0 from JOCKS) is usable.

I never thought image stabilization made any difference in mobile phone cameras

IMO it is not worth having image stabilisation turned on a phone as it reduces the wideangle-ness. It is not the real OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation). Digital cameras use lens-shifting and/or sensor-shifting to counteract shakes, whereas mobile phones IS is only a stabilized cropped image.

I did a "review" on the W995 about a year ago and I did notice something about the stabilization.

Check it out. The conclusion was it does not help much and in fact reduces the sharpness of the photo.

Yes, the image stabilization is meant to reduce the image blur (mainly in low-light pictures) but in return the photos have less detail.
