My preference is for the Midnight Blue, the reason for that is I like the combination of black and the silver trim. Looks classy, even though its prone to finger prints, though in saying that the front of the phone is dominated by the very large screen so its only really the display that's going to get smudges. I don't really care about the back of the device with finger prints, because how often are you going to be observing the back of the phone anyway.

True i get prints on my black x10i but as you say, my phone is always screen up, or in my pouch

Seems Arc has already been released in Japan and one user at XDA has already got it and seems to like it.

You beat me to it.

Everyone that seems to have played around with this phone seem to just love that reality display!

Haven't seen anyone explaining all the fuss about the display and the Bravia Engine, so I'll just do that. The Bravia stuff only works when viewing photos and videos, whether it be in the gallery, YouTube app, etc. Think of it as a small script that "Photoshops" the image to increase saturation, contrast and reduce noise levels. The Bravia engine is not hardware-related, it's software. You can turn it off in the display settings, and you can actually notice a difference if you take a screenshot with it enabled and disabled.

@dibdin
I've only got the silver one personally, but had a chance to play with the blue one a couple of months ago. Not as nice a photo, but still a photo of it:

Tre.se men jag köper den via http://www.misco.se för att slippa få den branded. men kanske skulle avboka och köpa via tre ändå bara för att få silver?

skiljer 700kr typ inte okey

Eller så beställer du från Komplett eller någon annan som också har de olåsta.

Definitely not. Both are of cheap plastic. That's probably the biggest drawback of the Arc.

ditto, its not just about o/s. I was never interested in the x10 but the arc just has the je-ne-sais-quois about its styling, plastic or not... and that is what really separates one android from another these days...

Tror nog alla kommer få den ungefär samtidigt ändå. Min blir låst tyvärr... Men det är ändå ok tycker jag. Har inte tänkt och byta operatör.

SKIBBE,

Do you mind me asking why you have cancelled getting the Midnight Blue??

Posted by SKIBBE
@dibdin
It fellt more uniqe/stylish. I came to the conclusion i was bored with black, my last 2 phones w960i and x10i have been black. really miss the feeling when i had my white w900i.

And when Mizzle uploded the picture earlier today i was stunned, PURE SEXY! none of the offical images have shown the Misty silver in daylight. it's beautifull when it's turned off! i know the screen alightment will show more but. i think i did the right choice

Fair enough SKIBBE. yes that pic from mizzle of the Misty Silver looked really nice. enjoy your Silver Arc when you get it.

15+ units of Xperia Arc Midnight Blue in stock?? could that be right?

Posted by SKIBBE
most likely not, since no one else has it?

Posted by Morax
No one has commented the sound in the phone.

Does Arc has the "Clear Audio" Chip and such? I will use the phone as MP3-player 8 hours / day, 5 days a week and need to know if it sounds as bad as iPhone and many other Sony Ericsson.

Thanks in advance.

A few norvegian reviews have mentioned the same WiFi bug as X10 had.
Have You experienced this?
How good is the camera really compared to X10 and Neo?
And how fast is it, i've read it's faster than the incredible S, due to 2.3, can You confirm this?
Thanks in advance!

Posted by Xajel
What WiFi bug ??

Posted by HYPER-X10
Yeah, what bug?

I'd say the only "bug" is not having the wifi sleep policy set to "never"

X10 wifi works perfectly for me.

Posted by Toney_Ericsson
Yeah that wasn't a bug with the X10 that was the WiFi policy setting.

Incredible S will be 2.3 aswell. The Evo 3D is running 2.3 and can clearly be seen to be faster than the Arc.

But the Evo 3D is dual core 1.2Ghz and 1080p video aswell as the 3D so a very different phone to the Arc.

Posted by se_dude
The incredible 3D doesnt have a release date. The Arc releases next week.

Yes, and hopefully on the 28th March.

And it's a HTC so turn on usb debugging the second you get it and buy yourself an extra battery =)

And from the benchmarks I have seen on the evo 3D so far it isn't a single bit better then the arc in processing power

How is the incall volume on the Arc?
This is my main concern after the poor in call volume on my X10.

From what I have heard its GOOD.

The guy who bought the phone at xda says it already rebooted a few times since he used it.

Does that mean that its likely that all units will experience the same problem??

Posted by laffen
I have been using the Arc for 9 days. I haven't experienced one reboot so far. Maybe the guy at the other forum heard this from another guy at another forum which wasn't telling the truth?

Is this still a common problem with SE do you know??

I use to have re-booting problems with my K750 K800, and K850. My last phone was a C905, but didn't have it long enough to find out.

Posted by Bonovox
Well I trust what laffen says cos all Xperia phones I have ever had except the x10 Mini have never had reboots.

That's reassuring then, as its my first SE Android phone, and I don't want to be shelling out over £400 if I'm going to have my Arc rebooting at random. There is nothing worse when that happens.

Posted by Mizzle
Mine hasn't rebooted either.

Posted by Bonovox
I think it shows not just the stability of Android but the quality of Sony Ericsson software/hardware too. I had alot of niggles about the x10 but now with Sony Ericsson using Gingerbread I know it will be promising. I say that cos I have used Gingerbread on Nexus S but have gone right off Samsung. Gingerbread is fast and combined with SE need I say more. I cannot wait for my Neo.

Posted by dibdin
What phone are you currently using Bonovox?
