That's great! Something in par with Samsung galaxy Ace? I wish it will be just around 200-300 Euros. When will they announce this, anyway?

Sony Ericsson projected 60% of smartphone based Android sales come with a base market of 180 million units in 2011.

Sony Ericsson Senior Vice President and Senior Technology Advisor to CEO, Ericsson Group said the company Jan Uddenfeldt expects the Android based smartphone market to 60 million units from Increase in 2010 to 180 million units in 2011. With 60 percent of Sony Ericcson’s sales coming from smartphones, Sony has forged a new pathway That Will Deliver smartphone see it That only run Android. While it has supported the Symbian OS in the past, it has dropped from the OS ITS plans altogether. Although not ruling out Windows 7 Phone, Sony Ericsson Uddenfeldt said That Will Not Be shipping the device with the OS this year.

Sony Ericsson still want to have any option other than the Android and therefore remains open to other system, besides of course your system’s native Sony Ericsson. To cash in on this market, Sony Ericsson has focused on Ensuring new devices are running its more recent releases of the Android OS. It has also Increased its Android phone line from four models in 2010, to a planned eight in 2011. This week has just released some models of the Xperia minis (Xperia mini and Xperia mini pro) but do not have the official price of the smartphones. Everything indicates that Sony Ericsson wants to enter the fray for prices of handsets and offer consumers more competitive prices to become one of the companies to have an Android smartphone accessible and cheap.

Looks fine to me! Too bad they've smudged the label showing the megapixel count of the camera

Share some more info please Is that supposed to be a higher-end but compact phone?

If it have eight as you suggest, I think It should have one model equipped with MSM8255T single core clock at 1.4GHz
to keep compete in the market later this year if they still polishing on dual core software which position upper hand than XPERIA Arc
(HTC and Samsung will have one as well)

Unknown pink model look interesting for it size and design (thinking of LG Chocolate BL40 but this one shorter), probably equipped MSM8255 same as the XPERIA line of 2011.
And I think it have active noise cancelling microphone like upper end, look from it back and I hope it right

BTW, where is W8

HEY guys what do you think about the size of the x8 replacement???i think it's design is a mix of the new mini and the arc.i think we can expect a 1ghz processor,5.1mp,3.3" fwvga??i really hope that those are the specs,it also looks quite slim, maybe less than 10mm??it can be a bestseller...HOPEFULLY!!...maybe an announcement in june, and release september???

According to the XML file WT13i has a screen resolution of 240x400 which means an aspect ratio of 1.666:1.
If you measure the sides of the screen on the photos of this "pink" phone, its screen aspect ratio is very close to 1.66:1.
So maybe the "pink" phone also has a 240x400 screen (or a 480x800 one, but has used only 480x854 up till now)

It boosts the sound level of the speakers. Don't ask me how well it works, I couldn't try it yet And also I don't know if it will come to the arc, my guess would be no.

From IT168 forum:

ST18i
480x854 pixels
8mp camera [with 720p HD video recording]
3.7" screen
Android 2.3
Cortex A8 1ghz Processor
WCDMA HSDPA GSM Wifi GPS

This is no different to Xperia Neo!!

maybe ST18i is really neo.

Posted by tranced
Neo is MT16 and it uses an 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon™ MSM8255

This ST18 should be something between neo and the new mini. It has no qwerty keyboard but a touch screen only. To be honest I think this is the successor of the X8.

Chinese version perhaps.

Posted by Xajel
@tranced

actually it's spec is exactly the same as Neo...

Neo's processor is sure Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8225 @ 1GHz, but it's already based on Cortex A8 ARM core, so saying that Neo have Cortex A8 is correct also...

Personally I can't see any different compared to Neo...

Neo doesn't have a qwerty either

Posted by tranced
@io_bg: that's why I said it has no qwerty keyboard.

@Xajel: my bad. I get confused sometimes with these

It can be the Cyber-Shot phone from spy pic too. It seems to have this screen resolution, but I would be more happy with HVGA, beause it would make the phone more compact, and cheaper. But I expect, if that phone exists, it will have different code, like W for walkman.

Perhaps CS would be the prefix intended for cybershot

You can download this "link" from the market.

Download an app called "Market Enabler", change gsm.sim.operator.numeric to 44010 and you can find in the market

Acro is announced by Docomo. I had a look in their product description, and the speed is 14.4Mbps!

One more reason to change to the Acro!

Posted by HxH
Same as LT15a from Rogers Canada, their site description also show that support speed up to 14.4Mbps!

I still wonder if it true or not?
