haha sorry didnt notice it its funny because its listed as an upcomming event

we should all just wait, I know its hard but you know what they say, patience is a virtue. anzu and zeus have been benchmarked, just wait for the real life performance. as a lot of people here have said, running those benchmarks can be affected by a lot of factors and who knows what zeus is really running at. I can't wait for MWC too, I still believe in Bert's words. He lifted SE back to positive earnings and I know he won't let it all fall apart.

is probably playing dead right now come mwc they'll come to life

There have been quite a few leaks recently but we need more.

I'm surprised more details haven't been released regarding the other codenames we have listed.

?? its a software update?

Posted by tranced
That is the same X10 we know but with the official SE update.

The wounder of marketing..

First "S-Lcd" and now "HD"

Nowadays you can pretty much sell anything if you just add HD..

Slightly off topic, but SE have redesigned the phones and accessories section of their website. Doesn't look like it's fully populated with info yet but it's faster to use and isn't flash led like before.

Sony Ericsson dev team starts work on Gingerbread

Simon Walker, the Head of the Developer Program for Sony Ericsson, recently tweeted the following: “Android Gingerbread come out last week finally! Too much delay Google. Busy weeks to come for me and the team, but all worth it big time!” It’s difficult to know whether we’re reading too much into it, but it confirms recent noises coming out of SE HQ that they want to start being at the cutting edge of firmware revisions. Let’s hope that Sony Ericsson has indeed turned the corner.

Posted by badassmam
Thats a bit strange or maybe it means something else, you'll see Honeycomb at MWC though not necessarily in a phone but a tablet perhaps. You've already seen a Moto tablet running Honeycomb last week, its a lot more demanding to run which is why Gingerbread is out now for phones. Maybe you'll need more powerful hardware for Honeycomb but we'll see. The LG Star won't be the only dual core device there as well, I'm confident that a few dual core devices will be on sale by the end of Q1.

lol the cheek of the guy!

no one from has the right to complain about delays!!!

There will be UXP for Gingerbread. Its one of the best developments from SE for Android. Why would they stop using it?

1 step closer to PSPhone

^ exactly my thoughts but the games SHOULD BE exclusive only to SE handsets. so that they'll have the upperhand.

1 step closer to PSPhone

for 1 sec got scared thought this was relatated to games .
Hopefully SONY provides Games , Music , movies etc only to
sony sud not provide anything more than this ps3 app to other phones.
if sony provides movies, music to other mobile it will be problem.
sony sud really work together with regarding media n games.
sony sud not act cocky

Sony has been catering for Apple products for ages now, just look at their range of iPod docks etc.

Obviously they'd want to cater for a many gamers a possible, hence the PS app. No doubt the PS Phone will be integrated too, however, gamers will appreciate the app regardless of which platform they play games on.

Posted by zub
well too bad for apple fanboys apple will always stick to all touchscreen gaming PS games on all touch screen is horrible. only reason why im so looking forward to PSPhone with dedicated controls!

Posted by goldenface
I must admit, the PS Phone and the 'X12' is gonna be a a tussle for my ££££s

If it were only exclusive to SE phones, then I think that there'd be hard to entice developers to put time and money into something that will only have exposure to a tiny fraction (less than 1%) of the entire market. Making it availabile to a wider market would make sense from a quality of software/games point of view, which should be the priority with PSP games on phones.

Actually i feel that sticking to just Sony Ericsson or the PSPhone would be a better idea as the developers would know exactly what hardware platform to develop for and therefore truly optimize the games for it...much better quality games!

As long as market it right...i think a lot of gamers would buy this phone or range of phones ...the same market that the game developers would want to target!

yh i think that does make sense. games would come out faster and there would be little compatibility issues.

Honestly, i'd be very weary of buying the psphone. Ive been gaming for twenty years and own a ps3...after psp go, i really dont think id buy the psphone. I know they are different devices for different segments but the brand is the same. I wouldnt buy any sony mobile atm. I hope things will change in the next year or so for the company as a whole. Id love to return to se permanently. When se got it right, they were awesome. Fingers crossed.

i'd only be buying it for the hardware controls tbh. i'd hack the shit outta it and run custom roms anyway, so not gonna rely on pushing out updates. then its all about your emulators snes, nes, genesis, PSX. lol im not even too excited about the new PSPhone games lol

yeah i can imagine with the hardware controls people will finally be able to play all the games on the emulators really well!!!

i personally am more looking forward for a phone with hardware keyboard...x10 mini pro or vivaz pro successor...i really wish we would hear some more info about them soon!

Well today I bought LG E900 Windows Phone 7 device.

If SE will not join this bandwagon I will be forced to leave.
I would love them to do it...

Boy this OS is better than anything else. Especially in UI terms.
Android feels so bad next to it.....

im bored of waiting se to lounch something worth buying
i hope that there will be dual core and xenon flash mobile
if those were available i will take it without thinking .. if not i will see as i could live without xenon flash
but dual core is very important for me cause i want to be ahead of Nexus S by year .. so i can get more upgrades to new versions on android as i can .. nexus s have no dual core so no need for it for now and if i get one have that i will be ahead of google as i sayed and my mobile could live for 2 years at least without been that old in hardware
