Motorola V66i - can't dial up and be reached

Hi!

Having problems with my Motorola V66i. Tried my Vodafone SIM card in other phone here in Cork, Ireland. Worked fine. Bought it recently. Has anyone else had similar problems, i.e. network problems, weak signal. I seem to get "call failed" 9 / 10 attempts and am hard to reach, used to get SMS:s 10 hours later etc. Is the phone crap? Should I replace it with something else?
