@tito boy according to pd members, it also works on 10peso USIMs. So I think it's general.

After some lurking at the Sun official FBT updates thread on PinoyDen, there is a little hope for Sun subscribers.
Looks like that the Socket protocol is partially open in the "minternet" access point. Use the said access point with no proxy to access Opera Mini 4.2 unmodified and signed. Haven't tried on other browsers on my G502.

a brand new paranoia [from SB]:
try to connect your phone to the internet (in any way, preferably Opera Mini or UCWeb) using SUN WAP as your settings ("wap" APN, default IP and port). Let it connect. If it shows the FTC (for Opera Mini 4.2, means Failed to connect) or UTC (for Opera Mini 5.0, means unable to connect), let it be. Just make it sure that you're still connected within 5 minutes and 10 seconds upon successful connection (for Nokia S60 devices, see Connection manager; for Sony Ericsson handsets, check your phone's notification bar, by minimizing your application, if you can see a globe icon). If you're still connected after 5 minutes and 10 seconds, try to load a page (if your phone has a web page loading, cancel it then try to load it again). It will load like a charm.

just to confirm, sun can't download large files as of now. Hanggang ngayon, hindi ko pa rin ma-download 'yung 1st album ng 2NE1 which sized 100.3MB.
@pony yeah, galing nga 'to sa SB pero sa PD ko napulot. Wala kasi akong account doon. So credits still to them.

Ehem! Hindi sa ganun bro maaaring busy lang yung mga tao kaya hindi ka naaasikaso, isa pa kakaunti lang ang gumagamit ng sun dito, napansin mo naman na puro smart at globe lang pinag uusapan dun sa ibang thread, kung desperado ka na talaga mag ka free internet edi bumili ka ng smart or globe pansamantala habang nag aantay ka ng sagot sa problema mo.

tama sila tol kokonti lang ang gumagamit ng sun sa wap world di lang dito esato. saka di ganung kalawak ang tricks sa sun, di katulad ng smart at globe. kaya yung iba bumibili ng smart sim o globe sim o kaya both parang ako tatlo ang sim ko.

whew! I'm kinda pissed!
Apologies for not updating the thread. But be minded that you somewhat pissed me.
Anyhow, some still confirmed that it still works with the default settings (Sun WAP). IF nag-e-FTC siya kaagad, try and try and try to load it again. After more or less 10 minutes, the page should load.
I hope your queries have been answered. This trick requires PATIENCE. If you don't have one then switch networks as others suggested.
