@jojo
If you take photos in sunlight then they will always come out looking good the same can't be said for low lighting though.

nice macro anouk82
did you use modded or the stock driver for that shot??

Posted by jms2367
flash off

flash on

Posted by groovepeppy
Both taken in macro mode
Original camdriver

Original

Plummy's modded camdriver

Original

With original driver i get 452kb of file size but with the modded driver i get 927kb....

@groovepeppy

Is Plummy's cam driver stable now? I read in the other forum that it freezes the phone sometimes. Aslo, will modding not void the warranty? Thanks.

N.B.

it seems that with the original cam driver, the picture of the VU meter is more clearer than in the picture taken with the modded one.

it's always like that but it freezes the phone very rarely
well, both shots have their own plus and minus point

Posted by groovepeppy
Baby Dragonfly took using stock camdriver from customized HK updated firmware (R7CA064) ....

Elm

Posted by jms2367
Some indoor/low light photos I took. The elm is struggling specially with low light pics.

I just wish someone could make a better camdriver and display driver for elm..

hey all!Bought my SE Hazel a couple of days back!
Super pleased with the phone.
Hmmm,but a nagging problem about the camera.
When i try to take a shot(with the settings on auto focus),the camera focuses onthe object and at that instant the image seems crystal clear,but as soon as i click the shutter button,the resultant image isnt AS good as the perfectly focused image.
Any idea why?I keep the cam as still as possible and still it occurs.
Thanks! Will enjoy my phone as i await a reply!!:)

That's not a problem with the camera, it's because once the picture has been taken, when you view it on the phone it is scaled to fit the phone's screen which is why it looks blurry, try zooming on the picture on the phone you will then see that it is sharp, or better yet transfer it to PC then view it on a computer monitor you will see that the picture is sharp

Snow setting seems to balance the image quite nicely on some daylight shots

Hey,can LED flash be used as a light? BTW if someone can post some flash-on pics.
Thanks I love Elm!

Really excellent photos, the led can be used as light of course, that would be silly if the flash only could be used as photolight.

Very nice pics Reeflotz, nice experimentation with the settings. Run_dawn, what settings did you use to get those shots?

I've been posting some pictures in the photo section and I always get more often that not a one rating. I would like to experiment some more in taking pictures in order for them to turn out good.

Is that purple fringing? Here it is in full size. Do click on the image itself after clicking the link to view it in full size.

@jojosiscar thanks

It looks like purple fringing, I'll try to take a shot similar to that with my Hazel and with different settings, that hasn't happened to me yet.

@Alenn look here groovepeppy posted a flash pic there using an elm. Elm has a better flash than Hazel, Hazel has a yellowish flash . Elm and Hazel are both weak at lowlight photos though

Posted by jms2367
@reeflotz

I asked bono and mriley to look at the pic in full size in the chat thread, opinion that it is not distinguishable as purple fringing. Problem with the Elm is that it tends to over sharpen the pictures

Posted by reeflotz
well I guess I was wrong I did have my doubts whether it was purple fringing or not because it was blue and not really purple like the type of purple fringe that we see on some digital cameras.

Posted by alenn
Thanks.I love the flash function,i hate on my old Nokia E52 that you can't use it except on video and camera.

it might be a little purple fringing but its hard to tell because a huge amount of sharpening is put on the pics

I was suspecting it as purple fringing also but I was doubting it when I viewed it in full size.

There's that blue horizontal line again..

Posted by mriley
I think it's fair to say that the Elm can only take good pictures in good light
