@Rundawn10 I wish I had a Hazel Cannot find it in any store in UK. Have to look online I think

That reminds of me of almost getting the Elm before I saw the Hazel (it's in red, I thought it was a C-something phone) at the store I bought my phone from.

I'm surprised the Hazel is not out in the UK, I think Vodafone DE(?) is selling the Hazel in Germany.

Looks like they're using the Naite, Elm, Hazel's box for the Zylo.
Perhaps I'll share some more.

how to upload images as i have taken pictures with my hazel

Posted by Bonovox
Wow them phones look very dusty The K550 looks battered Nice Hazel though I just debranded my O2 branded Elm today via Davinci And I now got the clear voice & noise shield back which confirms it was the O2 firmware that did not have that feature

Hey Shelly you still took good pics I have done that myself left the house without my glasses & when I was on the bus I started thinking,hmmmm........what's missing, everything looks blurry Then you realise but your already half way there Is that the main town centre cos it looks familiar cos I been to Nottingham for nights out before Shelly now you got a decent cmaera phone why don't you join in the monthly camera phone shootout?? It's just for fun & we have a winner each month & a different theme to take pics of Have a think

@ Bonovox

yes you're right it is the main town center that part leads down to the broadmarsh center, im always doing it leaving my glasses behind! i actually said to hubby when i took the photo's " here's how to ruin the reputation of a phone in 2 clicks!"

But i shall carry on taking photo's with my Elm and you never know i might just have a go at the monthly camera shoot out

But have to say loving the Elm up to now

Posted by Bonovox
Yes it's a good little phone except the screen goes a bit too dark in low light

Hi guys this is my first post here. I've noticed that Elm's camera produces more significant blue and red bands at higher ISO values.

So, knowing literally nothing in programming I tried modding Quasar84's plummy driver to force ISO50 at all conditions (cos i'm really really annoyed by the lines). I basically inserted the line #SET_REG_8(01, E5, 04) to every section that I think is relevant. Now the red/blue lines seem a lot less significant and sometimes don't appear at all in low light.

Also, the plummy camdriver also usually crashes the phone when capturing complex pix which exceed 2MB. I tried changing the jpeg limit in the driver from plummy's #SET_REG_16(03, 54, 0F, A0) to #SET_REG_16(03, 56, 06, 20) and it has seemed to work in limiting the filesize although I really have no idea what the values mean. Now the filesize is approx 800kb-1700kb for a normal pic and the phone no longer crashes.

If any of you are interest in testing the camdriver just download the n00b Mod camdriver here.

Some stuff to be noted:
1. Flash no longer works in AUTO mode
2. Go twilight portrait in low light for Flash. If the flash doesn't fire just increase the EV value a notch or two and it should work.
3. and finally, I do not know a thing about programming so I won't be able to answer most of your questions regarding the values changed. Don't be too harsh on me ok? Let's hope for a REAL programmer to help us all out.

Where on Earth do you keep getting the money to buy so many phones? Are you a millionaire or something?

@bloodyvie
Thanks I literally just bought the phone yesterday so I'm using the original camera driver, I don't want to mod it anyway, I've done enough of that with my other phone

Beautiful shots mate And your c901 went on a day trip to the countryside with the Elm

Posted by mriley
It did
I had to take about 20 shots of the flower in the first pic to get the hoverfly on it, if you move a millimetre they fly away really fast, but I learnt that they came back to the same flower if they dont get nectar from it, so I waited there and watied for them to land, then they would fly off again before the picture had been taken

Great shots . Even after seeing already lots of images taken by Elm/Hazel it still amazes me how sharp the details are especially on the grass

Posted by Run_dawn10
I love my Hazel Tree.

Lovely shots BTW.

hey guys, i have black hazel...and i cant believe these pictures are from hazel/elm, all my piece is got is blurry pics..outdoors pics are good but still blurry when you try taking pictures of HUMANS
@bono: please tell me what settings you use while taking pics

Posted by Bonovox
I am using auto or daylight settings. Ok the thing you need to remember with mobile phone cameras is no matter how good they are they all suffer some sort of shutter delay. This means that if you move too soon once picture is taken you may get blur. Also you need steady hands. Hold the phone with both hands firmly with your upper arms resting flat with your sides. Now when you take a photo wait at least 5 seconds or more just to make sure until you move. This way you know that any shutter lag will not cause picture blur. Just hold steady thats all I can say. Upload a few you have done to show us

This is auto from Elm tree

This is with setting changed inside tree

Posted by Bonovox
I have noticed with the Elm on auto colours can be a touch dull on a cloudy day. Putting it on daylight or cloudy does help. I do agree with Plank in that sometimes colours can be muted but I see no yellow tinge Nice shots Matt

Posted by TTT
Matt, C901 vs. Elm? It looks like the Elm beats the C901 in daylight. Am I right?

Posted by mriley
Look like I'll have to do a comparison

Posted by Bonovox
Yeah that would be good

Just want to share my photos...

At the pier gresik at 3.00 PM with setting auto

At Tunjungan Plaza Surabaya at night (still there are blue line)

Posted by reeflotz
I really do hope that its just a firmware bug with exposure compensation settings and not a hardware problem

It seems that the blue lines appear more and are much more intense when the ev is set higher, and they appear less when ev is set lower.
