Image is straight from the cam, only setting I changed was exposure to -.70. Details show that ISO was 50, exposure time 1/741, and aperture at 2.8. The X10 defaults to very low ISO's which is good, the indoor pic with my cat was 80 ISO and the CN tower in Toronto was 50 even in that gloomy weather. The amount of distortion compared to my c905 in full crops is down from what I can tell, although judge for yourselves:

C905 100% crop:

X10i 100% crop:

@Mano82
From your first impression do you think X10 takes better photos than W995 or Aino? And what do you think it's lacking? TIA.

Thanks, they often gets a little to bright in auto so using a little ev- is often good. And having the sun/light in your back is the most important thing.

The EV setting definitely seem to make a difference when comparing your pictures with the others.

And of course a clean, unsmeared lens makes all the difference too which should always looked out for phones without any lens cover.

Hi Mode,
First of all i want to say that i'm not a camera-expert, so i can be wrong First impression, X10 takes much better photos than W995 & Aino in daylight or in enough light. Night & in door photos, both W995 & Aino were not that good either X10 has not flash, it has photo light. I really hope when we'll get 2,1, we get flash as well

Hahahaha, no wonder why i found that picture to be so known. Simply because i lives in Mauseidvåg that isn't so far away from that place. Maybe like 8-10 mins with driving, so i have been there in Emblemsanden some few times now .

Caff, I don't turn on I'm not sure if it really affects the picture quality, but i've read some where a while ago that it affects picture quality Let an a good photographer tell us about that

Posted by gr3yh0und
Yeah and How about metering?

What is the best option in camera?

TIA

Posted by caff111
so u guys taking pics at 8mp or 6mp and then resize them to smaller resolution? would this give u a better pics quality than taking pics at 2mp ?

yeah but it depends on what method you are using for resizing, for example irfanview adds (optional) resample and sharpen = better image. and a blurry 8mp image will look more sharp resized to 2mp without sharpen, but will look even better with some sharpen added. it's easier to make a big picture small than the other wayaround so just keep snaping shoots in 8mp then resieze to your pleasure

Still love my x10

Posted by rikken
Those are very nice pictures

Posted by unknown_x
OMG pitzon share with us your tricks! i can make above average photos with my X10, but those are outstanding

Posted by Mano82
Awesome pictures Pitzon please share the trick (settings)

Posted by digitall1982
noticed that picture stabiliser makes pic worse! if you turn on that option you will get less details and too soft washed out photo.. use default settings but very steady hand. that's it I've found that camera is really great

Posted by end0rphine
Is there a way of extracting photos taken using the Xperia X10 camera and moving them onto the PC? As far as I can see, there are no folders available where photos are stored, but rather some basic pictures?

Posted by Popolou
Look for a folder called DCIM. In there is the android save folder for all camera shots.

Thanks, no special tricks at all but more handling the light/sun right and sometimes a little ev adjustment. The x10 pics gets a little "weak and pale" sometimes but when using a little -Ev like around -0,7 usually does the trick.

I shoot in plain auto, no image stabilazer, Normal mode, simple autofocus, normal scenery

Mr.Mark675 please check ur link nice pics but it won't show

Posted by SKIBBE
Taken with image stabilizer and no adjustment on ev as i remember. (seems like it compensates details by blurring the shit out of the image, was on a "boat" when i took it so hard to have a steady hand.

This one is taken with simple AF and macro, not adjustments to ev

Posted by Hmyzak_SE
Who is he gonna eat? small or the bigger one?

automatic, macro, without stabilizator
