Thanks man.
However I was trying to find if anybody here has any info.

Eldar is not trustworthy for me at all.

You must be American (recall the published Nokia study of 70~% of USA citizens use the tele in the bathroom) lol. Seriously though, if you're wasted on a few pints you REALLY should be using 1 hand on the wall to stand up straight and the other to aim; no free firing (friendly fire can really cause serious issues). When I'm drunk and gotta pee the LAST thing I need to do is make a phone call lol.

@juris15, thanks for the news ... I Susan the J10/J20?

There is another WinMo device after the X2 but this has been cancelled. It could be that it comes later with WinMo7. WinMo phones are still on the agenda, they will look at WinMo7 for sure. WinMo is an important OS, would be silly not to make another. X2 will do well but if the successor does not then that's a different matter. There are plans in place for a successor. If we are lucky, we should see the new OS in the first half of 2010, its a big improvement and has a lot of potential to succeed. Its not over for WinMo yet.

What I would like to know is if there is any A300 platform based phone planned for 2010?
A successor to Aino with 3.5 inch full touchscreen capability, A300 and at least Arm Cortex A8 processor would have been nice.

Why waste such a powerful platform with A300 or feature phone capabilities? Why has such HIGH production costs to deliver so low to the competition; just for touch screen capabilities? A300 would get a fine boost with ARM11. 600Mhz and hardware acceleration is capable on such Freescale cpu's. BTW, what is so significant in A300 vs A200??

I don't know anything about A300 yet but if Sony Ericsson really want to stay competitive as a dumbphone maker, they should fit in full support for touch screen, higher resolution of course, updated look with more eye candy, well integrated social crap stuff, digital compass, fluent map application experience and more versatile web browser with at least Flash 9.4 support etc. With all the bells and whistle, a powerful CPU is needed and I don't think ARM A11 is up for that task even at 600MHz.
I know it uses an ARM11 processor at 434MHz only, but just have a look at the N97 which lags from time to time and 166MHz is most likely not enough for a feature phone á la Aino sucessor, if something like that ever will be released?

Regarding s60v5, how will the planned new interface by nokia(see Engadget and Gsmarena) affect sonyericsson? Or is it just gona be a customization like s.e did with Satio? Any ideas?

Its not going to affect too much, SE already has a fair game ahead of what Nokia is pushing, as seen with Kurara as its currently in a working state with flash wallpapers.

If you look at the Nokia E52/E55/E72 all those run on the 600Mhz ARM11 chipset with no hardware acceleration (E71 on 434Mhz ARM 11) is able to handle Flash Lite3.1 (sites using Flash9; we're at Flash 10 on the web now). Also on those models S60 3rd Edition FP2 is VERY fast, smooth and stable. Sure it doesn't have animated Wallpapers or Standby screens but this is done via 3rd party software and works well. Recall these are smartphones, not feature phones, and run a full gamut of software simultaneously interacting with the phone's systems or in standby, all using 128MB of memory (E72=256MB RAM, and Many SE phones today have 100-141MB storage, I'm unsure about the RAM).

It's all in the code and its efficiency of the OS. Just be preppared for increased prices IF you want & get TI OMAP3430 with full firmware support (beagleboard costs $142US, but its a naked board that is WAY too large to fit in a phone unless you want an N900 brick).

I agree for higher resolutions, and better performance; maybe not on the Touchscreen (not everyone wants this). I don't feel you should have a touchscreen for the classical layout but its about choice right? I do think SE rushed into the Touchscreen with the basic firmware without giving it proper RAM, improved cpu and hardware acceleration for the video displayed.

bravia phones?!

I just had a thought. Why are there no WLAN enabled flip/clamshell phones made by any company outside of China/Japan/Sputh Korea?!!!!!

I figured by now 's long line of Z-series clamshell phones which sen predates the k750 would get wifi after the w705/715/995 models. Even HTC was rumored to have a solidly leaked smartphone, a thin wm2003 model that didn't get released.

I'm not just talking about North America here but also Europe as well. Thereare many people that still want a wifi enabled clamshell phone and SE can make a profitable entry with one into the marketplace. Motorola did have a wm smartphone that was a dual clamshell (mpx/mpx300) but that was not a traditional clamshell.

I wonder Y this is so avoided??

Any update on Sunny?!!!

Oh yeah one other thing.

has officially announce that they'll have announcements and participation at the Mobile World Conference 2010 on February 17th in Barceloma. Announcing this earlybefore any other manufacturer must mean they have somethings huge to show off!!

Clamshell !?

It would be Amazing

with real big qwerty keyboard

HILARIOUS

Susan has an X10 feel to it as well, as do some of the others........design wise. HTC have laid the smackdown saying that there will be 10+ devices on Android, will respond with a few of their own which is good news. Apparently the MWC will see a bad boy phone being announced, Susan and Sunny are appetisers. I hope people will be impressed with the new set of designs by because I have seen a couple that are quite challenging on the eye..........

That pic's taken from androidin.net --> is Susan an Android?

Posted by samehada95
Maybe Susan and Sunny sort of 2010's Fillippa and Frances?
Both are announced before the MWC
And maybe Susan and Sunny will be announced at the same timeframe like C901 and C903 earlier this year?
Just my opinion

Are you telling me there are non-touch androids too?

Posted by se_love
Of course there is. At least from what I know. I also too believe this is an android duo as it can be told by the buttons and how the UI looked so android in the mock ups. Another thing is how on SE's site there are 2 options for android screen sizes and one is 240x320. Its pretty obvious if you ask me.

Mobile TV phones from SE? Yes please! I hope its like the ones we see with those antennas that give you free brodcast TV, and not pay for TV. If so I cannot wait to see if this comes to fruition.

That looks familiar to Susan but it does NOT look like the original Beibei that circled around the web some year(s) ago. The BeiBei that circled, that I recall, was a slider, and didn't have that scrollwheel inside a DPad, it had a circular shaped D-Pad similar to the W810 but circled the wheel like the original iPod click wheel.

To be honest if Susan makes it to production I don't think that it'll use a ScrollWheel (rubberband) +Dpad combo, especially if its to be water-resistant. It would be better (for consumers, image of quality builds, and manufacturing expenses for returns, maybe NOT initial production costs) to have an optical sensor inside the D-Pad (much like Nokia E72) that is calibrated to provide the same function. and also its just easier to maintain a seal to keep dust/water out that a sliding scroll-pad.

Just found this from www.androidin.com:

Before, including the front Androidin machine networks, as well as foreign media have been a lot of speculation, Sony Ericsson Susan (Sunny) The candybar phone will be powered by Android platform, but as early as two days Androidin Xiaobian have seen this machine is equipped with a very common system, not to mention something before Android.

SE Tablet - anyone have sync software? Will be pleased to receive it, couldnt use uPnP

Are SE working on a tablet?According to Eldar he is using one.

Are you joking - Sony Ericsson with Windows 7?

Posted by se_dude
Android 2.0, TS, mediascape (TBD), deskstand etc. No 3G now, only WiFi - normal tablet

Posted by badassmam
Yes, there is a 'computer'.

Posted by se_love
Oh, and SE powerboat and its not a phone? This one I gotta see. I'm also getting lazy on the updates....so now, to work!

Posted by Supa_Fly
A tablet with no 3G connection whatsoever is a dead product out of the gate. If the screen is 10" then it might as well be a netbook or sub-note and include 3G ~ don't want ppl using non-SE products to use for 3G connection. If the screen is under 7" then its suitable for in house/apartment/condo but its a dead product in many regions without a 3G connection. No point; unless its an LTE connection.

Posted by domipost
Agreed. Better make a normal netbook with 3G connection.

Sony Ericsson gladly invites you to the presentation of its brand-new Android mobile device. Monday, December 14th, 2009

Well, the above invitation is obviously related to the presentation and demo of XPERIA X10 to journalists of some sort. Could be wrong though.

First time posting here, came across this article and thought it might be of interest to people. Sony plans to start a Sony Online Service that will bring all their products together, including mobiles.

'The Sony Online Service will leverage the Playstation Network infrastructure, meaning they will co-exist (at least initially). Only one user ID will be necessary to access the service. This is all a part of the “UX Platform,” meaning a common user experience across all products. This means that the appearance of the store should be the essentially the same no matter what device you view it on, whether it be through a Playstation product or on your BRAVIA, VAIO, or Reader. Sony has also noted in the slide above that there will be new mobile products that will be able to access the service.'

Most likely unless of course its something else, seeing how both Susan and Sunny should be android from the looks of it, and thus so should the 3rd.

Sounds like corporate logical news - which is great (unifying 1 id to logon) however this Sony Online Service (is it to tie music & apps along with Games in 1 UI)? But this does NOT make sense coming from a user perspective, trying to use an A2 platform phone (even with W995's 2.6" screen - a Flash based website on NetFront implemented by SE which is FLASH limited!). Smartphones will have a someone difficult time & some length in rendering the original page let alone subsequent page requests unless its been heavily coded for efficiency in bandwidth and only a small part of the UI changes irregardless of the end user requests/logon.

PS3's Online store is really intensive and even with a 4Gbps cable connection and CAT6E its harsh; or was back in Spring 2008 (haven't used a PS3 since).
