GA GA GAAA..... Uh!
I would kill to know all that stuff BADASSwoman.

The positive thing with this ugly device is, it uses the latest version of 6.5 which really is far more finger optimised than the originial 6.5. Two thumbs up there!

As someone said, redesigned P1i would have been a killer.
I still love my P1i

Posted by Supa_Fly
@Badassman, you gotta stop defending Eldar. Sure its possible that SE would drop WMobile, but that's just as possible as Nokia droping Symbian (which has been rumored for over a year now by analysts, and fans alike). The fact is Eldar, stated it would happen soon. he's got sour grapes in his heart when it comes to .

Onward. This does look alot like the basic design queues of Nokia E61/71 & Samsung models.

To be successful, especially against Samsung which has 4 specific qwerty models for various regions, in this class. I pray that the old 320x240pixel resolution is completely abandoned.

Posted by iksplusipsilon
@McKinley Yes! Android with P1's form factor would be perfect (with P1/M600 style keyboard and verticaly oriented screen), but I am afraid that there aren't enough brains left in SE that are capable to see that.

heres a pic from a different angle.

the top edge kind of reminds me of the p1i. theyre obviously going for the nokia E or blackberry market..about 2 years too late lol.

unless it is selling cheaper than E71, else it look tough to compete in product that resemble Blackberry

Posted by se_love
That bezel is ridiculous. You could easily fit a 3 inch on it if you tried.

Posted by c96sthl
depends on the external design.

the LCD is rectangular shape with straight side edge.

when you browse thru the picture, it seem the back of the phone is having a big curvy radius.

therefore to get 3in into this phone....that need some adjustment and I don't know why the curvy shape over rule a bigger screen

they should at least opt for 2.6in....the leak info showing 2.4in seem too small

anyone else waiting for something that will make them say 'holy hell!' (with a bit more 'wow' i.e)?

Posted by jj03
i'm sorry but that blackberry/e71 rip off is truly awful. Good god...what were they thinking? It looks like a pay as you go, much cheaper, varient of both e71/blackberry. The alcatel name wouldn't have looked outta place at the top, in place of sony ericsson.

Posted by my ninja
yea, its the X10 ... superclutch device *(MobiComm/MC) only if sony would use OLED for battery purposes ...

@Dups!

I wasn't offended at all so no need to apologise.

For a Green Heart its actually very good but I got the impression that this was cancelled. The HTC Trophy is more my type, its got a 3 inch capacitive screen and its properly thin. Faith isn't the phone that I find interesting, that would be the qwerty Android. I can't see any P1 type phone coming, Faith is what you should expect in terms of form factor.

Eldar was not far off when he said that would ditch WinMo because its still a possibility. The potential flop of X2 would have sealed it but WinMo 7 will probably determine if they drop it or not. They will look to put out something hot like the X1 and hope for the best.

Now that the leaks are coming, I should say that there are a number of Xperia phones. I'm hoping for two of them at MWC and a few in summer. 'Abelin' is one of them.

I thought as well that Faith was about to be canceled...

SE stays with Win Mob... couple of possible devices are in the works...

Posted by dothan
It was very close to be canceled but they decided to improve the design of the phone and to continue the work on it. In the beginning it was more ugly.

From some point of view this phone is not totally useless. Especially if his target audience are NAM market and blackberry and palm owners.

Posted by domipost
What? Even more ugly?

Posted by se_love
That's like unpossible.

Posted by Sutitan
Any possibility of a cybershot andriod?

or just a nontouch high end cybershot...?

Let's hope that they will not have the fate of X2.

and.....?

Faith almost entirely reminds me of the T250i. That is certainly not something you want in a higher-end phone.

Sony Ericsson's 2010 designs so far have been awful in my opinion. Elm and Hazel are plain if not ugly, and Robyn looks too fat and pretty plain too. The last good looking phones I've seen out of SE were Aino and Satio. I don't even like Rachael much, especially in black.

Yes it is quite useless, even the newer Blackberry phones are better looking and offer better features for business consumers. I can't imagine this selling very well with it looking like this and it doesn't seem to offer anything special. At least the E72 looks good.

Posted by synn
This looks more like a competitor to the E63, not the E72. There's no effin' way it's a high end phone.

Posted by dothan
I don't expect Faith to be priced as high-end phone, most probably the price will be close to mid levels.

I would add Kurara and Kanna.

Faith might be good if it only costs €200 or so, but I think it will be more expensive. About the designs, I'll just wait and see. Thought X10 to be really ugly too when it first leaked, but now I held it in person, I think it's gorgeous. Heck, I even like Yari's design

Yari's is awesome, I dunno why people hate it. That giant rubber button in the middle is the icing on that cake.

So anyway wait patiently until u got that ugly fat whatever u thought in ur hand hehe maybe ur think 'bout eat ur word later

AFAIK, FAITH would already crashed on cancel, ROBYN no comment on that but COOL! controlling
Looking forward to MWC 2010 and surprise by end of this year will u guess with me? (Not PM me just guess same all with u guys)

is there any X10 successor? (for Q3/Q4 of course) i mean X11...

Posted by domipost
Shure, but I think it'll be more like Q1 2011

Posted by goldenface
I very much doubt the X10 will be the only high-end Android device we'll see in 2010. There is a serious lack of high end devices in the portfolio at the moment and SE has some catching up to do.

Posted by Hmyzak_SE
Anyone knows what phone is B10?

Posted by mediar
Of course! It's X2:

Nokia are revamping their Symbian OS. It will be heavily updated. Wonder if will do the same? WM 7 is coming along as well, its got a Zune HD flavour to it which is cool. I would say that WM users will appreciate the changes that are being made, I doubt it will have many ditching their Androids and iPhones for it because it lacks that sex appeal.

Posted by synn
Why wouldn't SE? The Symbian OS doesn't belong to Nokia anymore and the new UI (when it comes out) is applicable for any device running the OS.

Not to offend se_love, but in the opening post, everything doesn't seem to line up properly, plus I think the background is a little too dark for the text to be read easily. Good job though

Am I actually one of the only ones that kinda like the design of Faith? I mean, features aren't stellar, but I don't see Blackberries have a golden spec sheet either. I think this won't sell bad if it's priced right. The problem is, Sony Ericsson needs to work with operators to make this phone work.

Quite right observation.

Posted by goldenface
It doesn't look like a high end device but something tells me it to do with the quality of the materials being used. After all, because it's a Greenheart phone they are restricted to the less harmful ones.

Interesting to see the X10 also showing up in the Japanese market.
