Opera Mobile is working great on the X10, havent had any zoom issues, i set it to 100%, then went into opera:config ,set minimum font size to 16 in User Prefs, looking great now.

Click on the address bar, clear the www, then write opera:config ,click enter, it will take you to the Opera configuration menu, scroll down to User Prefs, click on it, and scroll down to Minimum Font Size, its set to 9 by default, set it around 16, 17 is what i would suggest to most people, then after that scroll down and click Save, kill Opera Mobile, open it again and the font should be what you set it to. I would suggest setting Zoom to 100% in normal settings.

I just set minumum font size to 24, and I´m probably going to try larger as well. It´s not necessary to kill and restart Opera after saving the settings. Just refresh or open a new page. I also created a bookmark for opera:config for my convenience. Tsepz_GP, thanks for the tip.

Cant find user settings under opera:config
The menu shows a couple options, like "Fix text to screen", "Loading Timeout", "Site Patches" and so on.... at the end of the page, it only shows "Save"... any clues?
(Using Opera Mini 5.1 for Android)...
Posted by tranced
@Lightspeed_x: It's using Opera Mobile
Posted by Tsepz_GP
No problem Anders and Sator
Lightspeed, we're talking about Opera Mobile, not Mini, Mini doesnt have a full config menu like mobile AFAIK.
Posted by Lightspeed_x
My bad... thanks for the replies...
Edit: How do I download Opera?... I went to their site, and the options I find are either Opera Mini or Opera 1063.exe...
Edit2: Nevermind, found it searching "Opera Mobile" in the Android Market App...

I just downloaded Opera 10.1 for Android it's great
Posted by angryman
Yep. Using Opera mobile and it's fantastic so far, scrolling pages seems smoother than Opera Mini.
I have Zoom at 120% and fonts @ 18 and it seems like a good balance, some pages don't display the full text but its not too big of a deal yet.
OhHH WAHT!!! I just noticed that animated gifs display on it!!! WOWOOWW!! this is fantastic!

Yes I remember Opera 10 on Symbian with animations. On my x8 I have had to put zoom at 140%
Posted by angryman
my old sony ericsson dumb phones all supported animated gifs and it was my biggest wtf when i noticed that the x10 didn't support animated gifs in any form whatsoever - unless you downloaded a paid app off the market.
This is soo great.

Yes,it's the first time I seen it on Android Opera

My phone's battery performance was horrbile yesterday but it was excellent today.
I have used it more frequently today than yesterday and it hold me than enough.
That is odd. Obviously a background process was draining the battery.

Nice i wonder if it has a xenon flash? SE would be killing two birds with one stone, making a X10 and Satio successor in one , would be nice if it had the Samsung Hummingbird CPU, but the new gen Snapdragons should be fine.

I am sure they will screw it up like they did with the x10
Posted by Bonovox
If they cannot put 2.2 in like everyone else can so easily then I will think SE are losing the plot.
Posted by Luhccas-U1a
The informations on engadget is about 2.3 on "X12".
There's no xenon flash but a word about 1080p video record was said.
Posted by Bonovox
I noticed they have not changed the menus or battery/signal meters in the pictures
Posted by Phoner
I am sure it is because they had not customized it for that phone at the moment the photo was taken.

Hey guys, after 5 days of shifting to the 2.1 , this is what i have seen:
- battery life decreased : one day and a half, used to get 3 days for the same usage
- the whole system is slower, and not getting better
Do any of you have these problems?
Thx

are you using more apps/widgets, live wallpapers? and such that drain your battery faster than before.
2.1 is fast for me, have you booted it since your update? first start is slugish.
Edit: i saw you had a mini, may be different from x10i

+1 for the live wallpaper battery drain and the slow first boot
after that though ... 2.1's great
Posted by sambouka
No not using live wallpapers.
The only difference I think is an application called Whatsapp...
I will uninstall it and test...

On my rooted 2.1, after I un-installed those defaulted apps like Moxier, Wisepilot etc using Titanium backup, the internal phone storage space does not increased after that. Why? How do I release those occupied internal storage space? Thanks

You will notice the difference going from the x10 mini to the x10 biggie
I bought the mini and mini pro first and then the regular x10 2 months later. Whenever I go back to my mini pro I can't get used to the screen anymore. The only thing I miss from my mini pro is the keyboard. A bonus for the big x10 is that you can have all your most used apps/widgets on one screen wheras on the mini's its just one widget per screen and then you scroll through the menus to find an app.

Hi
I am having a problem with Market.
Whilst downloading an App, Market crashed (it appears to do this quite of ten with 2.1). However, I now have an App that constantly says 'Installing' in the downloads page of Market but never actually installs.
I have tried clearing the cache in Market and force stop but nothing gets rid, it is always there; even though the actual App is no longer on the phone as I bought the paid version.
I have tried everything I think, to get rid of this..... Anyone Ideas ?
Posted by Oogamous
@woz 2010:
Had the exact same problem. Factory reset was only thing that solved it!
Posted by Muhammad-Oli
I had a similar issue but for me the solution was uninstalling the app entirely, then reinstalling.
I guess this did not work for you though.
