First of all, you've got issues.

Secondly, they initially said Q4, and then changed it to Q3. That's not a delay - the opposite rather. They then delayed it from Q3 to end of October. There's a delay - one, not two.

Officially the update was supposed to be Q3 which is end of September at the very latest, then it was supposed to be late October and its still not here.

I don't call November late October.

You've got issues arguing about a firmware update you sad pathetic twat

@Toney-Ericsson
Actually the firmware is being being released in late October as officially reconfirmed by SE yesterday. So not only are you backing up your argument with non-facts but I also find your language unnecessarily offensive. This is a discussion not a slanging match.

Mind your language mate. Such talk is not tolerated on this forum.

SUNDAY SUNDAY SUNDAY!!! i wonder when the NA version will be available. I know I will checking SEUS asap!

I can't wait. Mostly excited bout the HD recording and possibly faster interface. Any more word on the MT issue? Strange that the videos made by those other than SE who have been previewing the 2.1 update haven't demonstrated that MT is or is not possible considering how big of an issue it has been.

It would be nice to have MT with the 2.1 update but i wouldn't be too sad if it's not there. The only reason i'd want MT would be for games. Though, I don't play many games on my x10 to begin with

Where has it been released? nowhere and there is one day in October left.

It's November and it even says so on the official announcement.

Are you unable to read the several posts and links that quote Sony Ericsson as saying that the firmware will begin to roll out on the 31st of October? I don't think it can be much clearer.

Posted by OffLineR
Many of them clearly inditaced that update will roll out starting from Sunday Evening
I think that is clear enough

Hey Toney, what is wrong with you? Did SE offend you? If you are not happy with what SE has to offer go sell your X10 and buy another android phone! Even better unsubscribe your current forum nick and change to a new log in user and go to where you deem correct!

Posted by moogoo
he's just trying to cause drama. just ignore him. if he wants the delay so bad, let him wait to get his update while we get ours tomorrow

It says it will begin Sunday evening, which is October.

I'm quite sure most of us realise we won't be getting it straight away. SE have made that quite clear too. So kindly do us all a favour and quit acting like a know-it-all. You quite clearly don't.

I am really going to miss that arc slider.
It is so cool that I love the look on my friends face when I unlock the phone.
I hope implement this later on.

Of course your not getting it in October which makes me right.

My god you are pathetic. It has always been said that the roll-outs will start late October, and they are going to. SE is keeping their promise even if they are stretching it to the limit. I don't see why you keep arguing when everyone knows exactly what is happening without reading your unnecessary trolling posts.

Sunday is 31st October. What are you upto cause am sure your not that dumb enough to understand a simple calendar

Posted by elad
I can understand Toney's frustration here. Although SE have finally confirmed the release from Sunday onwards, clearly this only applies to the Nordic region. For the rest of the world, they won't be getting it perhaps for the next couple of days (if you're lucky!!)...who knows as SE have not provided a definitive roll-out date for other regions albeit within the next couple of weeks. So, to some people this is clearly not good enough in particular those who have had the phone since the launch. I only hope this update it's as good as it sounds and doesn't turn out as an anticlimax following the lengthy wait.

Posted by Arne Anka
@elad

The roll out will continue during whole November, so some will have to wait for a whole month.

Wow it's finally here

No point in arguing with him. He'll just drag us down to his level and beat us with experience (where's that quote from? )

Doesn't Skype require 2.2 ?

Posted by Ricky D
Aside from what I already have..

Skype
Angry Birds
Chrome to Phone
Maybe a wallpaper or 2

I'll give Firefox a try but to be fair the inbuilt browser is pretty good.

The home screen space and the HD recording are what I like the look of and any speed enhancements are always welcomed.

P.S. Confirmation from anyone with the update that the multi-touch is definitely out of the question would be good. Test in browser and in Angry birds if not in a multi-touch demo app of some description. I'm still not 100% either way on those videos we saw and I wouldn't put it past SE to spring us with a surprise.

Well it's 31st October Evening! Atleast on Indian Standard time!

How far away is evening in Sweden?

Just answered how far evening is in Sweden, but have in mind everything is relative.

I like the social phonebook feature, if it works really well.

@Toney Ericsson - mate, have a read of this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-11650593 Ring any bells for you?

@OffLineR - surely some bright chap can make an app to implement the arc slider? I too would prefer to continue with that. The side to sider is not as nice an experience.

@App lovers, the best thing about the update is that practically all new apps become an option once more. Over the year it got a bit frustrating going to A-Market and not being able to find apps people were talking about because of 1.6 nto supporting it. Am looking forward to installing BuzzVoice and especially WorldMate.

Posted by Tsepz_GP
The built-in browser is excellent indeed, i deleted Opera Mini and Dolphin as they are totaly CRAP compared to the X10's built-in browser, and im looking forward to the improvements that 2.1 bring to it, and i just want to see how Firefox and Dolphin HD are, otherwise i will probably continue using the X10's built-in browser.

Posted by OffLineR
Only thing that missing on the built-in browser is lack of file upload.

Hola

Just found out from friend in Sweden that the update to 2.1 is out... If I understand correctly he was able to do so via his SEUS Pro account which he had access to SE's EMMA services. Not sure if it out via regular SEUS though, maybe someone else can confirm this.

Thousands have been waiting for a long time... and most of us will still be waiting.

I checked a minut ago and I can confirm that it´s not out via regular SEUS.
