Well when the video starts the calender entries look the same and its the same person doing the demo...

unless he has upgraded the software on his... This is exactly the same proto with a software upgrade... im confident in saying they look like the same video to me...

so complaining about the screen, is worse than all of the posts complaining about him complaining? way to have some perspective guys, i can guarantee that there are more posts asking him to quit than there are of him explaining his frustration. so having 6 ppl say that they dont want to hear it anymore is no nice different. its all annoying, at least hes providing links and information rather than merely using personal preference/past experience to justify telling him hes wrong.

what hes doing is more productive to the thread than just tellin him to back off.

@se_love with your new responsibilities i would think you would be more level headed towards the situation.
@seal its the same video bruh i posted the other day, that you linked below my post that someone uploaded to youtube, that youve linked again, its not faster. ps: the phone isnt slow, android isnt slow, UX is slow.

has SE made any news about which browser they will be using in the X10, i know that the old (android 1.6) webkit doesnt support HTML5 and that the new one included with 2.0 does, with websites like wave.google.com and other sites popping up (we've seen wave on the N900 as well as bittorrent) will we be able to take advantage of these services with the X10 eventually (or port the OS ourselves). I know that android is capable now at least, id just like to know if SE had plans to support in the first quarter after launch. but developing on 1.6 got them in the quandry now do you think that SE may wait on Flan (2.1) before they upgrade UX, as a means to allow for development time, or do they have to wait for the SDK (i think moto had a deal with google, ie google dictated what kind of phone they wanted and moto agreed b.c of their situation financially) so because of that relationship they had access to the SDK before it was released which is part of the reason we have 1.6 on the X10. thats not SE's fault so much as google's preference at the time.

For the thousandth time, learn the difference between Google experience devices and custom Android ROMS.
Why do you think the motoDEXT is still running Android 1.6, even though Motorola has "Full access" to Android 2.0?

Logic: Use it, once in a while.

look here dont disparage me. the tone youve taken is one of condescension, i dont appreciate it. say what you have to say without being rude. the part of my post you quoted is basically what you were trying to correct. so it should have been obvious i understand the difference, but i dont know why that would discount the browser when the browser IS part of android, and not a google application like maps/gtalk/gmail etc ... so, the delineation youve made is inaccurate. even still, does that mean the X10 will NEVER see the new browser, was that the point of your post? I just want to know if, like the keyboard you could supplant the current browser, would it still work, does it use new APIs that wouldtn allow it to work in 1.6?

interesting review. I wonder if the specs he listed are all correct or just his speculation or misinformed by an SE employee.

It's interesting that he said it doesn't feel/look that great in person (google translation, so it might be wrong). I can't imagine it feeling that crappy considering all the "hands on" previews there have been.. no one has mentioned it feeling cheap as far as i know.

You wrong. He said it feels great))) maybe too light

Posted by untitled1
I think some of the specifications are wrong:

16m colors
1000 mAh battery
16GB sd-card included

those 3 things do not correspond with the official announcement.

he says nothing about sound, he also hadn't the possibility to hold the mobile longer in his hands and didn't want to make a video of the media/timescape because it was lagging. so nothing new from this review.

another question: does the x10 has a light sensor?

I like the fact that the black x10 doesn't have any front camera but the white one does^^,

Doesn't seem to have an ambient light or a proximity sensor either, which you thought it would do with such a large screen although it's probably because it's a proto.

Nothing new there, just a regular blogpost...

Το X10 έχει οθόνη ικανή για 65,536 έτσι ώστε να μην ανησυχείτε όταν θα δείχνετε τις ασπρόμαυρες φωτογραφίες
Sarcasm?

Εξοπλισμένο με capacitive screen και Android 1.6, το X10 θα έπρεπε να υποστηρίζει multi touch αλλά δυστυχώς δεν.
Really now? Isn't 1.6 just touch?

I believe Android 1.6 can't run Open GL 2.0.

Yeah, that tone comes after people repeatedly keep speculating even if the truth is right in front of their eyes.

The part I quoted was the one where you say "Developing 1.6 got them into this" and all that. You speak as if they had a choice between two versions and they chose the older one. The fact is, nobody that develops custom Android ROMs is anywhere close to being capable of announcing a 2.0 phone; simply because Google is currently tending to the Google experience phones. It has been said since the beginning of Android that the Goog-exp phones would ALWAYS get the updates first.

The amount of speculation that goes on in here makes the oil market look tame in comparison.

@untitled - thanx
@sealover - ment through head/ear phones. Speakers on phones are rarely any gud whether they're stereo or not. Thanx tho.

Is sound quality a hardware or software thing? Coz i have not read anything positive bout android in that respect(e.g the Hero - no equaliser even)

Bare in mind that when the P800 was released it cost up to 850 euros here in sweden
A flagship should cost a lot, but then the key behind all success is that you get what you pay for, so it better be awesome!

That review looks good - there are quite a lot photos of the screen.

The UI looks good to me. Especially MediaScape's ( I think it has slightly changed since this video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvsl5IBSZh0 ). The camera's interface looks good too, but I like Satio's more.

cool! and when putting the x10 in a case or pocket!i think some nokias and blackberrys have such a feature...

Someone asked about sound quality before, he writes, that sound is really good the speaker has good quality and is a little bit more quiet than the n97 but it doesn't overmodulate.

He also writes that the phone or esp. the UI has lots of features that are not apperent but very usefull and nice. It's not a naked android system! and u can reinstall or turn every feature off or uninstall it not like on the motorola or samsung etc.

i love this phone more and more with each new detail about it

Posted by volume100
I think both reviews take to broad daylight some good features of the phone without mentioning hardware specs that are impressive by itself, although I'm sick of hearing how every phone compares to iPhone.

Also I didn't notice any complaints about the screen either although most of this topic covers nothing but the screen issues.

Of course the screen is going to be good, Sony Ericsson got one chance left, would they really choose a bad screen? If this phone becomes a flop, the company is history, theoretically at least.

What if we have only seen prototypes of different screens and that's why they have different specs everywhere, not even the managers know the final product?

so hmm, who should i listen to, the one who speculate over bad photos or the guy who have held it in reel life? hmm...

And what i've heard it will have multitouch after the update to Android 2.0, and also with that release they will not have the limitations of the screen by the software. Therefore my theory is that they are going to have a better screen then the os can handle "limited to 65k" but after the upgrade we will see the real beauty.

seal, you are really annoying: look on all of the screenshots and then think about "transparency" and "effects" the cards and the pictures on it are transparent and brighter consciously, maybe to demonstrate the power of OpenGL. If the display would really so bad as you try to show it with your ignorance and/or arrogance since thousands of your threads, the guy would write it. He also tells about other disadvantages of the phone and hopes that they become better in the final release, so why he doesn't mention the display and says:

"The quality of the screen, level of brightness is very good. Because of the high resolution pictures are looking clean/smooth, can't object to sth. you maybe know greek better than my english, but my native language is russian, and till now the guy has one of the best reviews, if not the best. if a good review in your eyes is when the tester says "the screen is terrible", ... lol.

so please stop this rubbish-posts, with no real content. efkaristo poli. [had ancient greek @school years ago]

You should listen to a better review from well-known and reliable websites such as gsm-arena and watch videos-photos with your own eyes.. These russian guys don't even know what's the memory support of the phone... why you would trust them ?

As for the rest of your post... well i really hope that YOU ARE RIGHT and have a retail package that includes a multitouch screen with 16M colors and adroid 2.0 . Then i will buy it too

The screen is clear ! YES i can see that and know that cause of the VERY GOOD RESOLUTION...
Your best review says : 32 gb support and 16gb in package which is WRONG...... so pleeeeaaaaase !!!
If you want to dream your perfect phone... well nothing stops you...
Even the N97 comparison is 16M colors and 32gb internal .... so pleeeaaase again !!
But i don't blame you!I blame the stupid marketing team of SE...

Give it a break now Seal!
We can only pray that Sony Ericsson end up making the right decision about the screen issue.
I know I have been ranting about the same stuff but absolutely nothing will help repeating it all over again.
You sound like a malfunction record now.
I do however appreciate you keep posting new photos of the X10 so keep it up
