I strongly suggest you understand my posts BEFORE making stupid accusations, I am just as entitled to MY opinion as anyone else here grow up mate and stop the playground name calling!

I stand behind my comments about inability to write decent SW I can only believe the evidence of my own eyes, both timescape and mediascape are very laggy even acknowledge the fact.

The Panels on the X1 are additions to Win Mo by and make the device slow and cumbersome IMO I tried it and found it unusable

As for low IQ? A clear case of the pot calling the kettle black!

To Sony Ericsson

Please just leave Android 2 alone just don't mess with it.

I have just seen a video of your attempts with mediascape and timescape! your just doing an X1 job on a very good OS you simply cannot afford another failure. Why are you doing this? you haven't a clue what your doing with SW, how many more times do you want to prove it?
As for telling us the finished interface will be "Snappier" how many times have we heard that for you?!
[ This Message was edited by: Nitro Fan on 2009-11-27 14:08 ]

doing an X1 job on a very good OS?? Are you kidding? The UX interface has NOTHING to do with the panels thing on the X1 because it's composed by 2 applications. UX philosophy is an attempt to put your contacts in center of your user experience. And I think they have done this time a very good job. If you aren't satisfied with UX you can disable the timescape and mediascape applications and only run the native 1.6android.

NO I am not kidding anytime decide to put their "personal touch" to perfectly good SW the totally screw it up Android is s good OS it does NOT require to ruin it!

I fully understand the difference between the X1 Panels on Win Mo and the Android OS the point is the Panels slow down the X1 I know I tried one and it was awfull!

Then buy another phone, or disable the software SE created. There are many other phones that uses the standard Android interface, so if SE didn't put their personal touch on the device why would anyone buy that device instead of the others. The SE brand isn't strong enough too sell a phone by its own anymore, so they need something too set it apart from the rest of the phones on the market.
I personally think that the interface they created look really good and I believe that if will be able to sell the device.

has to personalise the UI, everyone will diversify their product. It depends on what you like. Panels on the X1/X2 (a bit slow on the X1) are excellent and very smart indeed. Just compare the Kurara or working Satio UI to XM 5800 and you will get the idea. The Nokia is a good phone but I can't stand the UI.

The idea of Mediascape and Timescape are clever when you think about it. Its a matter of optimising them now to be fully functional and quick. do suck when it comes to software but Kurara even at this stage, is very fast. At Microsoft, they sacked the WinMo7 team and got a new bunch in and they are working well meaning that can do it with more hard work.

There is a focus problem here too ...

it's difficult to judge photos on things like focus because that has a lot to do with the photographer. Handshake in low light conditions will give blur to even the best dSLR with a non VR lens.

i don't know the reason.. i just say what i see.. This is a prototype anyway..

You are absolutely right. Also, even DSLRs give false focus confirmations in lowlight conditions.

We cannot wait from a smartphone to do what a DSLR does (sometimes with difficulty).

Rather than highlight the fact Timescape and Mediascape are slow you mean? And achieve what? allow to devalue their brand further?
I like but I want them to be as good as they were back in the days of the P800! My experience of running my own business's has taught me many valuable lesson's one of which is .... if you ignore what is wrong and continue to praise the mediocre only one thing is certain........ FAILURE.

@sealover,
Thank you for your excellent photographs, you are a very lucky man! it looks as though have managed to solve the green cast on the RH side of their images at last, very encouraging.

I wonder who builds this for ?

Esato X10 - First Look.

Posted by Nitro Fan
just seen this on Techradar

HTC Hero pops up with Android 2.1
Next-gen Googality on HTC's top end phone
After the HTC was confirmed as not getting the 1.6 Android firmware upgrade, it appears the phone has been jumped up to the cutting-edge 2.1.

I thought the first to get Android 2.0 would be Moto Droid? I suspect the Journo means V2

here some pics and a video on gsm.arena:

Nope, the Journo is right... Droid was and is the first with Android 2.0 but HTC are working on an Android 2.1 update for the Hero (with its Sense UI of course)...

Guys, Google will hold back from everyone and mess about with 1.6, 2.0 and 2.1 because they have their own Google phone being tested as we speak. Yes, the Google phone by Google is at the proto stage. Never seen it but its happening.

Posted by my ninja
lets see what they offer, but b.w the N900 and the X10, ill be purely satisfied, BOTH come with Tmob 3G. i cant wait.

I think the concept of what I heard of the Google phone is cool, but I hope they don't begin hindering other manufacturers from using ready to use Android builds.

No. is not going to sell this phone. This is a prototype. It is not finnished. There are still things to fix. That is why you can't buy it in stores today.

actually it's 5seconds but as Laffen and ALL the others have noticed: to criticize a prototype has no meaning.

Where is everyone

At last I get a satisfying answer from Sony Ericsson Turkiye. They told me that X10 is going to be available in Turkey on the second quarter of 2010. They also give me the distributor list of Sony Ericsson Turkiye. I'm glad now.

So, do you happened to know where I can preorder X10 in UK
Thanks to a frined of mine, he is going to deliver the phone to me.

The blog guys have the latest prototypes. Phonearena for some reason always get the prototype with the worst algorithm, looking at what they made of the satio.

Hi Laffen and P910 I realise it is a proto!
But it was the same story with the X1 it was as slow as hell and I was slated then for daring to suggest it was slow, however I was proven right with the retail models! I know I had one for 7 days! Sorry but are not good at SW development or testing.

Dont be so protective of they are big boys and girls and can look after themselves!
Unless WE the so called ":es: enthusiasts" point out what is wrong who the hell else will bother? No one
As for my criticizing Prototypes one thing is for certain, I run my own business's and have had reasonable sized development teams working for me in the past so I do know a little about SW development! if all you do is praise mediocrity and ignore faults all that will be guaranteed is a big fat FAILURE.

I loved in the early days and in some kind of way still do, the t68 was a revelation as was the p800 I have owned most of the top end units BUT are not getting one penny more of my mnoney until they learn some lessons about, Customer Service, SW, testing SW and quality control and I will continue to complain about what I see as going wrong in the faint hope will take at least some notice!

The stuff I designed and moaned at developers until they got it good enough for me, is still making the shareholders good money.............. Sony Ericsson are losing Millions and still stumbling from one PR disaster to another P990 & Satio are just two examples my network T-Mobile wouldn't even consider the P1 after the P990 debacle.

IF are serious about Smart phones then they have a clear benchmark to aim at its called an iPhone (And I have been one of its biggest critics!) BUT Apple are getting it right.

I dont want an iPhone, I want an X10, BUT only one that is done right

awesome! thanks seal, i love the speed of android ... with that said the speed of the SE apps is still irritating, so i cant wait to get my hands on the hardware!!! i cant wait for SE to optimize the scape series id rather just run vanilla android. im def gonna try to see what the developers are doing on the maemo side of the world. but sometimes you just want a nice sexy device, cmon SE!

If that's how you look at X10 or in general, the only sensible thing for you to do is to part ways with this phone maker. Why cling into something that you don't believe anymore. It's pointless, move on, never look back. That easy and you're life will be stress-free.
