I hope they will include some features from the opera desktop browser such as saving passwords, more skins, etc. They'll say it'll be faster i guess.

now it says: Opera Mini 5 Beta. Coming very soon: The next generation in mobile browsing.

Nice!

Posted by suresh86
I guess flash would be difficult to implement in a java application.
What i expect is better caching, tabbed browsing etc.

Posted by Hiron
1 day to go
Tabbed browsing, password manager, bb bugs fixed and better speed dial? Nice

Nice. Love Opera Mini. 4.2 is great on my K850i. Very speedy and renders nicely.

5.0 should provide some nice updates hopefully.

Posted by Boysie
Still 4 pieces left!

I didn't look at the Opera Mini page yesterday so I'm not sure if it was available for download... and I haven't seen anybody actually posting that they have or making comments about it... so just in case... Beta 5 is now available for download!

Found some bugs tho. Reboots my phone if not using standard font and also some links in pages dont work. Wont let me login to se-nse. :( Posting this is also a pain. Can't see how to use predictive text.

Posted by suresh86
The modded fonts work fine in my phone. The real problem is i cant use the phones text editor!

Another history will be written for mobile web browser.. Yeabah..

Love it.
Needs tweaking but works great on P1i

Posted by suresh86
I have found T9!!! Go to settings>advanced>inline editing off.
Then go to edit field, select more>writing options>English. Select edit field again, more>writing options> T9!!!
(In K800)
You beauty!! How such a big release would miss that!

I changed my mind.
Writing on p1i is pain in the...

I can't see if the caps on or off and it doesn't reset when you switch between fields.
So it is a mistery and makes it impossible to input password. Moreover you can't enter other characters on the same key.

I cant write ööö

V5 is great! Mozilla will have some serious problems ahead with their mobile browser, still in alpha 3.

Don't work with Sony Sketch font.

Anybody know how to synchronize?

And I still can't select some links in some pages. I can't login to SE-NSE!!! AAGGGGHHH!!!

EDIT: Synchronize is not available in beta!

Does anybody know how to remove/replace assigned speeddials in startpage ?

Posted by valleyman
You should click and hold the speed dial you want to change, at least that's what I read on another site. But that doesn't work on my k850i.

Edit: Found it. I had to hold the call key for a while. Then a menu with 'clear' and 'edit' comes up.
You could also use that key to open up a link in a new tab.

Is there any way to minimize opera on samsung sgh-L760

This message was posted from a SGH-L760

seems to work great on my w890i... had some problems getting it going on the Nokia 5800 though

one thing I noticed was that on the W890 I setup a new page in the 4th position of the 9 boxes you see at startup.... I then moved the SIM to the 5800 and that new page appeared there too. So it seems they are storing the config on a server based on something to do with the sim? or are they storing it on the sim itself?

Posted by aloukay
I dont think so the sim is designed by the operator so nothing but contacts and sms can be stored on it ,it must be other reasons

Working great on all my phones. The touchscreen version kicks ass

Posted by StevenC
It looks good but v4 is much more practical in terms of ergonomics. Still great anyway I like it.

Excitement's started. Will try it asap i get to work.

Simply awesome web browser, i'm using opera 10 final on my laptop and desktop for almost a month already which is always lightning fast and this one is simply the best for mobile phones. it's just about time the first company to bring tab browsing on desktop browsers to port this innovation in mobile phones. Opera rocks!

Posted by iksplusipsilon
Looks great ! Too bad it is not tweaked for UIQ3. JOG-DIAL is not working, as well as some shortcut keys. SELECT TEXT pop-up is also not doing anything here !?! Definetly needs more work, but great release whatsoever! I hope the will add synchronisation in the final version...

Couldn't resist and i downloaded it via wap. It's simply awesome. I know it's still beta which means it'll get better. Will post some pics later. TAB BROWSING IS HERE!

I have no restartings. Sometimes it lags while trying to do something though.

Its working so nicely on my N81 multi tab web browsing is nothing new though. Opera8.65 Mobile had it for 2years now, but good to see it on an Official version of OperaMini. i love the new UI, not as simple looking anymore, looks like a proper web iPhone era browser now
