I'm here in the states and was told by the guy at t-mobile that hotmail is now pop3. Does anyone have the settings to set up my t610? Thx.

I don't think the guy at T-Mobile is right, from what I can tell, Hotmail dosen't have Pop3. Just use http://mobile.msn.com through WAP (first sign up for the free version of MSN Mobile on your computer before you try to check Hotmail on your phone.)

OR... you can just download the free java program HotViewer from www.midlet.org and you have access to all your messages and everything!

Thanks for your help guys. I just wanted to set up my phone to check my mail and notify me but i guess it's not possible with hotmail. Oh well. Thx anyway.

actually msn(hotmail) does have a hybrid mail that is hotmail and pop3 but you just about have to cram it down there throats to admit, and you have to be a msn subscriber. I have it, and use it with Tmobile.

Yea it does exist.

Im not an msn subscriber (dont know what one is! I may be..) and i use outlook express to read my hotmail account.

Actually, if you use hotmail through outlook (express) You're using a http server not a pop3 one. And se phones do not yet support http protocol for the emailclient.Dietbrand

Does anyone know how to setup pop3 on the k700i? I am with O2 in the uk.

I am sure it must be fairly simple, but i am a dunce...

i am not sure about the ports numbers, and the "from name" bit

any pointers would be much appreciated

(this is not for a hotmail account btw)

cheers...
