I wanna use the email option in the messages section. I have a gmail account how do I put the setting to get my email started

Connection type: IMAP4
IMAP server: imap.gmail.com
SMTP server: smtp.gmail.com
Before you start checking for your email first time, edit the account to change the Encryption to SSL on both IMAP and SMTP.
After checking for your email first time, it will ask if you want to activate IMAP Push. It allows your phone to receive emails as they arrive on the server. But that will increase your data usage and possibly cost a lot unless you have a data plan with your network.
