1. They are VGA
2. I know you like the photos , but your response has been sarcastic and ignorant. Please try a more civil approach.
3. You obviously have no knowledge about the existence of the photos section that I mentioned to you in response to the same ridiculous comment. Postage stamps. Right. Noobs lol.

@kickling
Yes it has the torch function and you can listen to the radio through the stereo speakers

@jake20
Sorry, maybe we got off on the wrong foot. I was starting to take it seriously since this is the same joke twice but I'll give it a rest anyway You can find some of my photos in the photos section in full size, not the kind of size you get in here (1024x768) max AFAIK).

That's quite nice really, perhaps the diamonds would sparkle even better with the EV 1 step down

@Geframa
Now those are the sort of photos that do the W995 justice

@kickling
Should you finally decide to go for W995, please be reminded that handling mobiles with LED flash and Xenon are very different and need some getting used to since W995 it's not a dedicated point and shoot. Even changing from one LED phone to another can cause immense frustration (my experience from 5mp W902 to 8mp W995, used to think W902 was better- not anymore though!). So persevere and yield results

@brazzuka's
Is that a new cam driver I'm sensing? I could do with more flash power

your feelings are right but about increasing the flash power with led or xenon device no way, you can increase exposure time or shutter speed led flash.

I've never SEEN such creatures of nature. Are either poisonous?!

hint: we need to see more pictures like this around the world.

Thanks guys. I just returned from a 4 day tour from kerala,india. I'm living in tamilnadu. Kerala is the wonderful place for tourism.lot of places to see. I've some more I'll post later bec i'm out my PC's
And I used rodriquez SMCX v1.3 driver unfortunately that was the last version in manual driver and left untuned.i chose bec I needed manual controls mainly manual focus. Ya I know the white balance is improper but the color are normal. Making vivid will spoil the real colors.
And I don't know about the spider it was sitting on the tree, my friend spotted that. I'm working on camera driver so hope I'll discover a better driver.

Replying through mobile so can't mentioned the names so please extract from the mixed answer.

@mode: What's EV?

EV is nothing but exposure... amout of light.
which is denoted in single number....
by setting the EV the camera gets adjusted its Shutter speed,aperture for the given ISO.

but how do i set it? can't seem to find it in the options. Sorry, told you total noob

Posted by Lightspeed_x
@spursevere: You can set EV using the left and right dpad while using the camera, when you press to the left, it lowers EV (the screen shows steps in values of 0.3, for example, if you press left twice, it will show EV-0.7)... you can experiment with different EV values for different scenes, for example, a macro shot with flash could come out better if you use EV- 0.3 or EV -0.7 because the camera sets itself to get a less exposed pic (less light enter the sensor), so the picture does not get excess light from the flash. The EV values are useful in highly lit environments too, to reduce overexposure, and in low light situations, when you want to get more details in the picture (less dark areas)...

However, setting the EV to +2.0 or -2.0 is rarely needed, it all depends on your taste, so experiment with the settings and you'll soon get pictures with the right exposure

Hope i made it clear enough

Wow Lightspeed_x!!!

That information is very useful for me too.

Unfortunately I didn't know it before to post my picture

But Thanx!!!!

Posted by idumbakumar
EV -2.0 will be useful on shooting high intensity objects say lights,
and it also helpful in shooting some twilights shots and in some night modes..
+2.0 will be used rarely as it boosts the ISO so obviously high noise....

Posted by Geframa
Great!!

Is there any post where I can learn more details about taking pictures in different conditions? for example, white balances, etc???

Posted by idumbakumar
u cannot do much with ur camera setting apart from changing EV with default driver.in some cases u get ISO(k850i)

but in general there are 3 terms
ISO,Aperture,Shutter speed.
these three are the very important terms in photography.. combining all these EV has controlled Exposure..
but manual setting are the best to match ur needs.

there are some manual drivers availble u can try using it..
i have seen raider driver on the best in manual setting implementation for k790/800/810

for w995 u can get dirty's SCMX driver.. but unfortunately its left untuned.

here some guides....
http://www.nhislight.com/Arti[....]re%20Shutter%20Speed%20ISO.htm

http://www.dpchallenge.com/tutorial.php?TUTORIAL_ID=45

always use google...

Thanx Idumbakumar!!

I still have my old K850 so I will check the guides and google any photo skills.

Thank you.

@Idumbakumar
Seems you went on a good, long shooting spree, good stuff, keep it up mate

Thanks peeps Never thought I'd ever say this but aside from the 2nd and 3rd pics, all were on Auto WB. I never thought W995 was any good in full auto but that's what I shot most of them on. Now I see that Auto is totally useable indoors, but I still have some reservations for outdoor shots eventhough the one I took (1st pic) exceeded my expectation. Maybe I'll go Auto from now on and see what I can work with

Wow your moon is tiny.

Posted by mode
Moons are normally tiny in photos

Anyway, here's a set of full auto pics I captured, so no skills, just angles and W995's cam module at work. I think they're alright, not terrible as I used to think but then again the last full auto photos I took were during cam ver 1.6 so I guess this is one of the improvements in the new version
