Software installation

Unistall your bud – device mgr/right-click/uninstall –
Unistall your bluetooth software
Shut down your pc
Unplug your bud
Boot your pc
Install actusb.exe
Shouldn’t ask for a reboot – if it does, does it -, software is installed

Drivers installation :

Unzip the tdk file- let’s make it in c:tdk -
In c:tdk u’ll find a data1.cab file
Unzip it in a new folder – c:tdkdata1
Open the mitsumi.rar or msi.rar depending on your bud
U’ll find a btwusb.inf file in it
Copy it to 2 places : c:tdkdata1 & c:windowsinf
Plug the bud
Installationn wizard luanches
install saying where the driver is
Set c:tdkdata1 for driver location

Installation is ok

You now can fully enjoy the latest enhhancements for your bud !!

NB :
- For the mistumi bud, you may somethign encounter like « you periphal hasen’t started », refresh or modded driver reinstall will solve -
- my msi test bu dis updated to 373 firmware, i adivce u to do so before trying these drivers
- many others buds should be able to run these drivers

AUDIO HOWTOS

PC and headset

Warning : I've been able to make it ork with my sony dongle and my msi requires at least a v373 firm to support audio ; some material issues may be encountered..hope our global feedback will help make that clear

Successfully tested with msi bud/t68i/jabra bt200

First of all, delete all pairings between phone/pc/headset
Set your headset in pairing mode
Pair headset and pc
Pair headset and phone using the same pairing code
Launch a service detection on the headset
"Headset" service should be available
Right click on "Headset"
Create a shortcut
Go to bluetooth favorites
Double click on the new shortcut you(ve just created
U should have an incoming call in the headset
Accept the call
PC sound is now heard with ur headset

NB :
- if u get "impossible to connect" restart the howto
- with the sony and msi v2xx u will hear an incoming call, but won't get any sound in the headset :/

PC as gsm headset

Here's my actual howto - tested with t68i r2 and msi v373 -

Delete any pairing between t68i and pc - on both sides -
Delete any pairing between t68i and any headset
On windows, launch a service detection on the t68i, you should a "voice gateway" profile
On the t68i, go to bluetooth/paired devices/add device/prai by tel/PC/
When the t68i says "Prepare your pc", double click on the "voice gateway" service you've just discovered on windows
The t68i ends its search - on windows side you get "impossible to connect" but no panic -
The pc should be discovered, just pair it

Your PC should now be the t68i headset,

to check this and handle how they'll work together, you'll find a "headset sound" in bluetooth/option and also a way to check you're connected in connections/accessory - hbh should appear, clicking on it, creates or recrates connection between t68i and pc -

nb :
- this pairing method hasn't prevented me from using a serial connection between my pc and the phone, so if you do'nt have any headset yet you won't have to modify your settings for ohter purposes
- the t68i doesn't allow 2 headset at the same time..i'd wish it could manage these with a check box in the accessory menu or even better with the profiles - the profile issue on the t68 doesn't seem to manage the accessories...even if there's a menu.. -

Playing with 2 or more headsets

This sounds tricky but finally a 10 years old kid could have found it

Let's say you've just configured your pc to work as gsm headset..than do a pairing with your 2nd headset - for me it's a a jabra bt200 -

At this moment, if you launch a call if will go to the 2nd headset

If you want to use the pc back, you just should
go to connections/bluetooth/paired devices/
The 2nd headset should be listed above the pc
Click on the pc
Select "set 1st on list" - dunno what's the exact word in english, should sound like that"
Than launch a call..it comes from the pc !!!!!!!!!!

Next thing to sort out for me with me jabra bt200 is how to get the call goest to the headset when i use an external dialer - fma, mobile phone tools on windows side or my pda -
The sony headset can grab a call with the button but doesn't work with the jabra :/

hey, what's the enhancement for this driver?

Posted by 619
anybody tried this w/ their P800? thanks

Posted by c0mm0n
its has full support for 7650, dunno for p800

i STRONGLY advice you to update anyway as thses drivers are much better than any previous version

my pda connects directly to nectwork interface and internet with icq - no more mocha or ras !! -

This drvers are gonna work for far more dongles, i'm updatin the list at this time, will update the topic later

Posted by force67
Wow....these drivers are so much nicer than the standard MSI ones...the routing detailed works perfectly for both 2000 and XP...nice one!!!

Cheers
Jamie

Posted by 619
thanks guys, ill download this tonight.

Posted by all8
Tested the drivers . works fine with the MSI key, HBH-10, T68 OBEX(send & get)

Posted by vve
Has anybody tried to connect to phone's audio gateway profile?

Posted by c0mm0n
yes i've suceeded, the pc is than set as a headset !!

I got a huge news as many others dongles are able to use these drivers

Here's my actual working list :

Testé, ok -> ok tested
En attente de test -> waiting for sb feedback

Just added drivers to be tested for tecom and 3com dongle

Please post or mail me your feedback if u have on of those

c0mm0n@fr.st

Posted by slattery69
i am using a wavelinker usb dongle not with drivers or software that came with it but with tecom driver found on esato-
it read my bluetooth places version 1.3.5 copyright 2001 widcomm ltd licsened by tecom.
having no problems with these at present
which link should i use to up date them
thanks in advance

Posted by c0mm0n
for each dongle i need vid and pid which are often included in the usbtw.inf ; but in the 1.2.2.13 and 1.2.2.16 drivers there's a good list of dongle to be accepted but none is clearly branded as a tecom one

which one is the tecom ??
USB\VID_049F&PID_0027 ; COMPAQ CSR based VID&PID
USB\VID_04BF&PID_030A ; IBM CSR based VID&PID
USB\VID_04BF&PID_0309 ; TDK CSR based VID&PID
USB\VID_04BF&PID_0310 ; IBM BDC CSR based VID&PID
USB\VID_0A12&PID_0001 ; CSR VID&PID
USB\VID_08EA&PID_ABBA ; Ericsson VID&PID
USB\VID_0B7A&PID_07D0 ; Zeevo VID&PID

Not having this answer i tried to set a multi product driver which is tecom.rar...wiating for user feedback, if it doesn't work, i'll make a driver for each of the dongle above..one should match the Tecom - the csr is my personnal favourite -

Posted by gadgetboytom
i also have the wavelinker and that crappy program that comes with it blue manager is pissing me off

how do i sort another program out?

Posted by c0mm0n
can u give me a link to reach your dongle's drivers ?

Posted by slattery69
fao gadgetboytom
all i did was uninstall the crap software that came with the wavelinker and get the new one via a link on esato its under the tech forum and it one of the first couple of threds. or http://www.tecomproduct.com version 1.2.2.16
it has a hyper link to the tecom and downloads straight away.
after that i took out the dongle installed the software rebooted the machine and plugged in the dongle.
after that paired the phone and comp and started syncro/downloading etc no probs at all.
common
the web site for the drivers that come with the dongle is http://www.ivmm.com
i discarded these and used the tecom ones

My case:
MSI+R520 (Win98) -> Audio gateway connection attempt -> No errors for the first 3 seconds -> after this - "Connection closed by remote device" message...
2Everybody who's succeeded: could you try this with R520, please?

I'd the same issu during my tests, try to redo your pairing..the only thing i know is when it wans't ok i had a new accseory called "accesory" and when i have it working witj some luck actually the new accessory is called "HBH"

If anyone has a good howto on audio..

Posted by c0mm0n
Thx to pljackson for his howto

1)pair headset with PC
2)repair headset with P800
3)pair P800 with PC
4)turn off headset
5)when a call comes in, or after you initiate a call, goto Audio gateway then select your P800... the audio should be transferred to your PC's mic and speakers.

I coudl'nt test it at this time, gshare your experience !

For the wavelinker dongle, it appears to be very very close to the windigo one...the delivered software hasn't enabled me to get tje .ibf file...if someone could mail me this file, we may have a quick test driver for these products - i had no confirmation they were CSR compliant, but the fact that they accept tecom drivers confirms thery have a 3030 chipset which -

Im using a Tecom BT3030.

As you say the TDK site seems to be down.I also cant get them from the ftp link.
I have tried d/l the Tecom drivers but it gets to about 80% and then disconnects every time.

Has anyone else got a link for the downloads.

Cancel that...managed to get on the ftp

Just to let you know that I tried the above drivers using the tecom_test driver but it wouldnt recognise the driver.

I think I really need to get the Tecom drivers.

Thanks

I have a Digicom Palladio, does anyone know where to get the latest drivers?
Maybe this will resolve the problem of not being able to send images to pc via Bt!?!?

Posted by 2tangy
I managed to get it all working successfully with my WaveLinker BUD(Bluetooth USB Dongle) after following all of your instructions c0mm0n

With the following inf file... (first one I tried as well!)

http://c0mm0n.free.fr/3com_1.rar

The software is great! Thanks c0mm0n!

Posted by EddWo
@ c0mm0n

wow thanks a lot.
I got it to work with my Tecom BT3030
I used the first of your second lot of inf files. tecom1.rar
and it was recognised as "TDK USB Bluetooth Adaptor"

However did you work out that we needed to use the anycom supplied version of the widdcomm software with the TDK supplied version of the drivers?

At last I can send pictures to the computer from the phone again.
I had it working for a while with 1.2.2.16, but then it stopped and I couldn't get it back.
The new configuration routine is really nice.
Gonna try it with my Blutake Poke 2th card in my Pocket Pc

Has anyone tried using the Microsoft bluetooth drivers for XP?
I heard they would work side by side with the TDK ones. When I tried modifying my inf file to install them it didn't quite work. Has anyone had any luck with that?

Thanks again

Edward

t68 + windows xp home + outlook + wavelinker bluetooth dongle

I've followed the instructions C0mm0n gave, but I'm still having problems synching. Can someone give me a step-by-step idiots guide to what I need to do in order to synch my phone with outlook?

So far I've installed the acbtusb.exe software, unzipped the tdkdata file, expanded the data1.cab file and added the btwusb.inf file from ComOne1.rar. Then I plugged in the dongle and browsed to the new drivers for installation.

What do I then need to do to get the synch working?

Thanks for any help...

u didnt mention Packages for SE, mpm, xntndconnect etc. try to get it at software section of esato.

I've got Ericsson Mobile Modem Settings, Phone Monitor Options (I've never managed to get the phone to show up on the Mobile Phones tab) and XTNDConnect PC (version 4.6 (EN), Product ID: 206-102, Build 372)).

The difficulties I'm encountering may well be down to operator error, that's why I need an idiot's guide!

can anyone tell me if it is possible to initialise a bt connection from the p800 to the pc without touching the pc???

Posted by marcellos
I tried using the 1.3.2.7 drivers with two USB Bluetooth dongles used as network interfaces to connect:

1-Laptop(WinXP)+Dongle
connected to
2-Desktop(WinXP)+Dongle+NormalNetworkCard

THE PROBLEM - if you bridge in machine2(Desktop) the dongle and network card, something really weird happens. The connection to the Laptop(1) doesn't work and it sees a local MAC address different then the address seen from other machines !!!
(It even gets an IP if I use DHCP but the lease info shows the MAC address different from the local one...).

Anyone had any experience with bridging the BT/USB with a network card in XP ??? Any hint ?
