I won't comment on the comments regarding the Microsoft/Nokia partnership but it is good to see that Microsoft are apparantly working on a couple more iPhone apps, namely Bing mobile and Live Services (messenger etc...)

Recently I bought iPod touch 64GB, and after few days using the iPod touch, I’m really considered to get an iPhone. I’ve found fully factory unlocked iPhone 3GS 32GB for $1000US in my country. I’ve few questions:
How about battery life and which color (white or black) is best than other based on practically use by day to day (finger print, scratch etc).

$1000US in Bangledesh? Is that cheap or expensive? White models are more demanded ~ not really sure why though, they just are. due to that they command a slightly higher price on the grey market (maybe $20/30US more for each model size).
Just make sure its a 3GS model for that kind of dough and it should be 16GB or 32GB. Make sure you get a screen protector and a case! After gaming with Eliminate Pro for 30days (or more?) I can honestly vouche that you'll NEED one. I've already worn it down a bit in specific "game control" areas, lol.
Battery life is sufficient ... it'll take about 2 FULL overnight charges for battery life to increase. You should turn off wifi if you're not using it to maximize standby and call time lengths.

Yes it is most expensive phone in our country and it is on gray market because Apple doesn't have authorized seller here. So it is also without warranty. I'm sure those are 3GS, just bought directly from apple shop from other countries and even got plastic wrapping on the box. In here, I can buy HTC hero for $585US or N97 for $642US with warranty. So $1000 is really expensive for non warranty phone.

Yeah its a tough decision. You'll need to have iTunes on PC/Mac to activate it. I recommend the iPod Touch for you for now ~ unsure if warranty can be done online with shipping to Apple with the iPhone, so iPod Touch for now. You'll get a great feel for apps you're interested in and they're compatible.

Get's the silly BlackRa1n splashscreen on phone then nothing, says I need to connect to iTunes, iTunes says I need to restore as it's in recovery mode..

5) Your device will now enter recovery mode. (If itunes opens telling you you need to restore because your device is in recovery mode, just click ok, then close down itunes)

a Foo Fighters tune - Wheels, doesn't load for me if I don't want to enter Facebook.
And I if do enter Facebook, doesn't download..., .....Maybe servers are too busy,

Just read a survey about the iphone. It says 19% want to stay on O2, 11% for Orange and 60% said Vodafone. Speaks volumes i say. The other percentage said they hated all 3 of them networks. Odd.

well I'm back with tmobile and I'm as happy as I was when I was with them before going to O2 for the iPhone.
I even had cause to call their customer service the other day as I was setting up MMS and they were more than happy to provide me support and even improved on the iPhone MMS settings that I had found by googling, and they got it working for me.
no complaints here with tmob, their data works silky smooth unlike my experience with O2, I'm getting much better reception at home, at work and on the trip between
shame they don't officially sell the iPhone

Actually not going too far from topic where i live i have solid T Mobile reception for GSM and 3G. I was with them sometime ago but as always changed. I found their mobile broadband slow just like most networks but browsing on the phone is great
And on their pay as you go service right now you can get £10 top up with free texts and internet for life before 31st of January. Plus they do a add on Booster you can buy with unlimited internet for 6 months for only £20. I read it on their website. Its 1giga per month. Nice value. Shame that T Mobile will go now as everyone may lose that reliability and value. Thumbs up for the pink network Saying all this pages load lightning fast using Opera on Orange its just an expensive network

I am saving my Phone Fund up for an iphone on Orange. So far i got £50 i get £1 back for every £10 top up
Will take a while though. Phone Fund lasts one year and you can save upto £200 off a new phone.

@masseur... T-mob are selling the iPhone but not in store. They seem to be using it to keep people on their network. Mate of mine in work called to cancel contract and got the 3GS 16Gb for free on an 18mth £30 a month upgrade, delivered to his home.

there's not really such thing as a cheap iphone as they do tend to hold value fairly well
you can still pay £150+ for an 8gb 2g iphone and £250+ for a 3g iphone
but I guess cheap is a relative thing so it depends on what you mean by cheap

based on recent sales here and ebay that range will get you either an 8gb or 16gb 2g iphone only
if you're really lucky you might get an 8gb 3g but most in this range are being sold as faulty so you have to take your chance

Picked up a 16GB 3GS on Tesco mobile as I got £70 off it thanks to discounts due to my mum working there
Cant believe I put off getting one for 2 years since the original 2G. This last day has been the most fun I have had using a phone for years, whenever I got a new S60, winmo, blackberry or feature phone I was always left underwhelmed and already somehow bored with the phones within a few hours.
Just jailbroke and unlocked to use with my vodafone sim, painless and easy
