Anyone here has the GD87? I brought it over from Europe in January. My old and much loved T68m found a new home with my best friend who will care for it the way it deserves to be cared for

I must however stress the help T-Mobile customer service gave me in setting up WAP access on my new phone. I dont know if ATT and Cingular do it, but T-Mobile were right on the money with everything. They had the instructions specifically for my phone, which, due to the recent launch of it, surprised me a bit. But WAP works, I can access a million wap sites and can even download the backgrounds of Esato in its T68/T300 download page.

i have a GD87 [UNBRANDED]

im from LA.

if you use the search button here, you'll find the t-zones settings. although it's not for a particular phone, they all work the same.

i got the GPRS and CSD working... and MMS too.

I have a GD87 (Cingular service) which I was able to implement the GPRS and WAP settings from this very useful site... I was also able to implement the MMS settings from mmsnow or nowmms (however it's called). At this moment, I can send but cannot receive MMS. If anyone out there can help me with receiving MMS messages via Cingular (panasonic GD87), please PM me...

It's a problem with the GD87 and NowMMS, happens for all GD87's right now. They are "working" on figuring out the problem at the moment.

@ RJ

You are with T-mobile right? I called T-mobile yesterday trying to se if they'd help me get T-zones access on my phone and they told me that T-zones are phone specific, and the GD-87 is not in their list. In brief i'm stuck... Can u access the T-zones over there in Cali?

@RJ
Thanks... I had all the settings just fine, the only thing was that home url was wap.voicestream.com This is what the t-mobile people told me to put... Anyhow, I got further today, I got a T-zones screen saying that the network has issues and it'll work later or something like that.

But thanks again...

rj,

i have a t68i with T-Mobile and GPRS works fine. These settings are specific to T-Mobile and it should work with any phone (ie. GD88, P800..etc), correct? If so, I can just use the same settings on my T68i and configure the GD88 as such.

fyi: T-Mobile is now carrying the GD 88. The Good Guys (specifically the La Cienega - Beverly Hills location) is offering the phone with 1yr commitment for a few bucks.
