@northmonkey: the touchscreen is very responsive and easy to use, it’s very good for me. The camera is the best 8 mp. you can get on the market now, together with Innov8. Sometimes the colours are not the best in automode, but if you set the wright whitebalance you can have really great colours. Judge youself looking my shots, usually i use the proper whitebalance setting it. It’s a real great phone with a great camera. That’s for sure.
@Pitzon: the comparison was taken in auto mode for both phones, in total darkness the Renoir uses iso 635 and Innov8 iso 200. Better colours in Innov8 pic??? I see something else, Samsung’s colours have a blue tint, they aren’t real. Way better Renoir’s colours.
Does Renoir chose a wrong iso with flash? Don’t think so. For example it use iso 252 in automode in this pic taken in a nightclub:
And in bigger size it look like this:
100% crop Renoir - flash - iso 252
100% crop Renoir - flash - iso 635
100% crop Renoir - flash - iso 635
Considering that those are the worst conditions for Renoir, due to use of its weak xenon flash, it’s quite “acceptable” imo.
We all know that C901,C905 and N82 wipe the floor with Renoir, we were speaking about touchscreen flash.

It's out tomorrow then.
Anybody getting one? My only issue with the phone is the retail packaging only includes a 4GB card now the phone supports 16GB and one of those cards costs £60. So worth considering that when buying as I'm sure the 12MP snaps eat the memory.
Should I keep my W995 in addition to this phone? I wonder what the pricing is? the prices drop fast on ebay I paid £280 for my W995 now it's dropped fast.

Just sold my LG Renoir and bought this sim free from Phones4U for £490.00, I really do hope that it's worth that amount of money as i never thought i would spend that much on a phone.

Sorry but i dont think so. rachael with its awesome UI will be, but not this. its specs are not superior to anything. its UI is nothing really special as they are simply ported from G900 and X1

I'd not pay that for the phone. Not worth the price I have been searching ebay very few people selling one. No ones with genuine pictures. I'll pay about £350 max for one.
How is the phone then? I'm interested to know how good the camera is? Wi-fi over the internet/Youtube/flash support?
Have you tried watching Movies on it? don't Samsung have a movie service like the Omina HD? What's the build quality like? Is the speed good of the menus?
What's all in the box? Did you only get a 4GB memory card? Hows the sound on the music player?

They try and hide the fact that they sell them sim free, I phoned a store yesterday and they said that they didn't sell it sim free, I rang customer services and they confirmed that they did, so i rang a different store and they said they did infact sell them sim free and i went to the store and purchased onw.

I have been saving up for this phone since June but it was a lot of money to pay.
The phone is great, Camera is just superb even in the dark, Wi-fi is great too when surfing the net.
Build quality seems good enough to me, Unfortunately they only give you a 2GB memory card with it, I got a case and decent headphones and hands free kit in the box.
Music player is very good too in my opinion, Haven't tried watching movies on it yet, The touchscreen is very responsive and all round i think it is very good, Worth the money, Got to be the best phone out and the Satio will have to be brilliant to be better than this phone.

you should take a look at the mobile review write up.. theres a head to head between the pixon12 and the omnia hd. from the pictures, it seems the hd has better detail. quite a surprise..

How the hell can the I8910 HD's LED Flash be better and brighter then Pixon 12's Xenon?

The review on the mobile review website shows pics taken in the dark with the Pixon 12 and the I8910 HD and the I8910 HD pictures look a lot brighter which seems very odd when the I8910 has a LED Flash and the Pixon 12 has an LED flash and a strong Xenon flash.
Maybe they got the pics muddled up and put them under the name of the other camera by mistake?
Posted by jj03
perhaps they were just using the pixons led and not the flash. we all know that xenon wins out over led, regardless of what generation the led is.

i've got it. It's really fanatstic, great pics even inodoor thanks to a very well performig flash. i'll posto pics in the photo section
