Oh my God how much does nokia or apple pay you for saying such spam?
Actually, that info came from from the SENSE blog. Nothing to do with Nokia.

Does anyone know how Aino sales are doing?

I have a video I got from iTunes and its playing well through old media-player. If I try to play it with new (touch) it says it can't. But it can if I press resume. ? I don't understand this.
Posted by mallaccra
aino touch screen sometimes lag on certain operation be it "play, forward, rewind etc", it will take time or rather need time to properly execute an operation of any media. it will be back to normal from unresponsive situation after a few seconds...hope the next update will fix this

i had these mp4 movies on my aino encoded with mpeg4 and aac with a screen resolution of 432x240. they are G.I. Joe 747 MB, Bourne Ultimatum 350MB, Transformers 633MB and The Abyss 614MB. all the movies play very well without any lag or stuck in between the playing.
I think I've solved my problem where the movie looses sound and touchscreen responsiveness after a while (about 20 minutes). I think the problem was because of lack of extra space on the media card to help with virtual memory or headroom. I bought a 16gb sandisk card and after installing it I copied G.I. Joe (around 700mb) to it and it plats faultlessly. Almost immediate touchscreen response with no loss of audio. Picture quality is superb and it's a pleasure to watch. I'm now loading my music onto my new card, but I'll still have heaps of room spare and expect that this will allow movies to play well. If not, then I'll delete files and see if it fixes the problem again!
So it seems the issue is related to the amount of space left on the card.

ya i think it's always a good idea to have some extra space left on the mem card.
what type of format, encoding and aspect ratio did you use and did you manage to get full screen movie (without the black strip at the top and bottom) on the aino screen (432 x 240). i've tried many screen ratios but still couldn't get rid of the black strip...

I'm using Media Go, so it automatcially sets the encoding and aspect ratio to suit. Fullscreen is easy. Just tap the icon in the top right corner to select fullscreen. I've watched a couple of movies and it's an absolute delight!
Strangely though, I tried loading just one movie onto the supplied 8gb card (leaving plenty of space on the card) and it still had sound and touchscreen issues! My brother says the 16gb card is probably a faster class. He might be right, because the camera is processing photos faster now too!!! Love it!

previously i'm using media go but it take ages to complete so now i'm using third party video converter. on my aino not all movie has the full screen tab, got to find other technique though

hi guys!
i plan to buy aino.
I just want to know if its stable enough for me to get it? I would be using it calling/texting and music.
Posted by vegetaleb
The Aino is very stable, it's one of the best SE phone ever!
The only bug I found is that bluetooth has not a perfect communication with my toshiba laptop

yes its stable though sometimes it freezes but that is very rare. aino is almost a complete multimedia device

thanks vegetaleb and mallaccra - ill get one in white. all of my phones are in black.
Posted by hihihans
You are easy to convince. Just needed a push?
Posted by vegetaleb
Take it in white!
It's the singularity of this phone like the Htc Hero

hahaha! =p not really.
But on a second thought, im 90% convinced with Aino But I'm just worried about what I read from here.

I am going to be getting an Aino soon. I can't wait I have been looking at pictures of the white version and I think I have fallen in love lol
Posted by mallaccra
well, everything about aino has been reviewed here and all over the net...
aino is a complete multimedia device, good build quality, stunning elegant design with smooth body contour, solid feel in the palm, pack with features, practical and ideal size (not too big not too small) and the software and applications runs smoothly. again, lets be realistic, there is no such thing as a 100% perfect phone and aino has it flaws too. the camera lacks of manual ev control and the touch screen sometimes freeze but believe me they will not hinder the overall performance of aino.
i would say aino match the slogan.....sound and vision set free
Posted by hihihans
There is no need to worry. The little flaws Aino has are nothing compared to many other models.

Has anyone had any success getting voice dial to work with the Aino's MH100 bluetooth?
I press the bluetooth's call button, and the phone's screen says "Please say the name after the tone" and after I say the name nothing happens! Strange, because it works fine on the phone without the headset, and the phone's manual clearly says "Press CALL BUTTON briefly, wait for a beep and then say the command."

My Aino just got new firmware
R7AA077
Maybe a bit faster but otherwise no difference
Posted by mallaccra
did you update through seus or fota and what is the file (fw) size
Posted by Platia1
FOTA
1.5MB
I was hoping for a more significant upgrade
Posted by >500
i thought were to add new features/apps to the phone with updates. after all, on website, there is a part in the features page of the phone which mentions 'watch this space' or something like that
Posted by zxcorr
Will Aino get Panorama mode for its camera? I really miss it...
Posted by Ricky D
zxcorr, the cam driver is the same as it has been for the other R7AA firmwares.
one peculiar thing I did notice, in media, the line in from the right is green for all the icons except music. I'm not sue if this is a mistake or intentional or only on my phone.
Posted by mallaccra
platia1, thanks for the info.
ricky d, thats right the music line in from the right is in white and the others in green...

My bleutooth receiver died. I can't turn it on. If I put it on the charger the lights go on, indicating that it's full. I'll search SE-site or send it back tomorow.
Posted by mallaccra
probably the on/off switch contact already loosen, just get a replacement....
Posted by hihihans
I will.
Posted by domipost
Awww Luckily it isn't the phone itself, though
Posted by hihihans
Lucky I have 2 spare 62's and a worn out K850, if things go wrong.
Posted by hihihans
Took my headset back to the shop today. There's only 6 months warrenty on accessories, just in time. Now i'll wait.

I won't do anything serious too.

For the rest it's good as it is

got some questions:
1. when playing videos, why does it skip for a split-second?
2. can i get the message alert tone play in the bluetooth wireless?
Posted by Haribolman
So what does this all mean exactly?
Posted by hihihans
What it means?
To make it even better. Font, menu, layout, drivers. Etc.
I'd love to come, only 20hours flying.
