I dont know whether that scheme was in airtel or not. Here in gujarat, i am using unlimited gprs for just 99 rs./month. The service is called NOP net on phone. It is really good. Previously i was using vodafone and my monthly bill was around 1000 to 1500 rs. That too, by restricting myself from using gprs. But now my gprs useage has multiplied by 3 times and my monthly bill is cut down by 3. now i use approx. 500 mb of gprs. Try it.

ur using the very old scheme (NOP) introduced long back around 5 yrs. luckily the operator doesn't notice you.
but now the scheme has been changed to 50kb/30p. i think people no longer like this scheme.
i except a better scheme from airrtel.

I dont care whether the scheme is old or new, as long as unlimited surfing and downloading is offered. And i have confirmed from airtel care, they told me that there isnt any change in scheme. May be airtel is offering different schemes for different states. Sad for your state.

I don't think with NOP, one can use java apps to connect to the internet ..correct me if i am wrong

Posted by ceaser2008
Yes, you can.
You can connect to internet using java app. I am using it for operamini, teashark, bolt, accuweather, 160by2 etc. It works like charm. I actually download lots of games and app. And other things as well from 4shared and other sites.
Most of my posts written here at esato is from my mobile phone through teashark using nop. this one too
Really the best service from airtel.

There is no such free gprs plan in airtel .. your friend will be charged the gprs used cost, once in a month or in few days at once .. dont try to tweak or do some tricks to make the gprs free , as it might block your number or some problems may occur ..

Blackberry tracking system

Hi u can use Aircel insted of Airtel, bcz AIRCEL offer 14 rs 3day unlimited&98 for a month unlimited gprs.try & enjoy..

Posted by idumbakumar
Dude I'm sure there's such a plan bec I got a message from airtel.
And NOP had been cancelled long back bec 20/day and ~370/month plans only were there. Btw its in tamilnadu and for my friend they detect only 30paise for every visit but for me it works correctly.
@Anky10 ya thats good idea but I have to use two sim then.
I used aircel pocket internet but its petty slower than airtel.i like aircel scheme lot bec its very cheap.

I am in AirTel but in my town only gprs coverage and i am in gprs99 - 50 mb free plan ...i would like to know whether vodafone postpaid has any such plan in tamilnadu circle

Posted by firoz3321
Aircel has really good offers
Had to check them soon...

I spoke with the customer care and in tamilnadu. There are some plans 100mb free/month if recharged with RS.98 ,15mb/3 days if recharged with rs.23. Likewise some other plans but no unlimited plans. Too bad. I can only browse and couldn't do downloads.

And coming to Aircel, it has very good plan same rs.98 recharge gives unlimited browsing but the speed is dam slow.
