ok, finally got the internet sorted....
noone replied to this with a PM as to where to send the phone on to so ive waited and waited only being able to check very minorly.......

I hope there are backups being made of the memory card. Also it would be nice if members don't travel to god knows where to take pictures, just take pictures of the area you are and send it on. Otherwise it will take ages for the phone to go around.

been a bit of a delay, sorry - dhl are charging me about £50+ to send it, cant be doing that so apologies but it will be going back with my folks when they visit at the start of november - sorry for the delays, i was in bangkok for a few weeks when i first asked for a address (back in july) and believe it could of been posted very easily from there...
any other options - feel free to let me know..

I sure liked the idea. But there should be some simple rules; 1, no trafeling. 2, 2 pics in this thread. 3, 1 week max. Count me in. Or should we wait another while for Leeboy? ps. I'll check my old K750/W800, just in case. . .

Clearly it doesn't work once the rules are changed on the fly. I would recommend it gets sent to regular and trusted members first to establish an example of what is expected of a recipient.
Send it to people like Masseur, Tranced, Laffen, Muhammad-Oli, Goldenface, Fatreg, Miss UK, Whizzkid, etc - people who will do the thread some justice. Then once a pattern has emerged, send it to some of the others here who are full of promises...
If only the phone had reached Masseur, the thread would have survived. After him was M-O, myself and Tranced; by then we would have created some momentum.

There is a discussion here about starting an Esato calendar using winning photos from the monthly photo shootouts. If members who have the W810 for a (short) period take some decent photos with/of the W810 on it's travels, why don't the other members here nominate a photo to be submitted to the calendar? The main monthly pic could be the winning shootout entry and the W810 shot could be a smaller inset pic, or however the calendar maker wants to do it.
Just an idea, what do you think?
It might help provide an incentive for members to post pics of the W810's travels and also, the more pics from different members, the more to choose from and the faster the phone travels.
