http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220384897660

I posted the item on the sat as any other respectable person would do, much to my amazment they have opened up a dispute on pay pal becualse they are saying they have not recved the item.

What should i do????

All the best

in future ban people with less than 5 feedback from even bidding!

Joint the club mate!!

Did you send it recorded or special delivery? if you have proof of posting put that in the dispute reply, i had this with a mobile even tho i sold it with FREE postage and they still wined, as soon as i told them i had proof of postage it "turned up"

Posted by garlic_bread
unfortunatly i sent it 1st i think i wil have to stop using ebay full off scammers and the ruined my feedback!!!

Posted by streetgang
Whats more annoying is that paypal wont look at the time frame and question it themselves or is this just a complete lack of any common sense? fear of landing another slot on watchdog

Use the dispute claim to inform the buyer that you will claim the item as lost thru the post office? see if this gets a reaction

Thanks for the feedback and i shall give that a try

Think i shall be off to bed now tho

Thanks guys

To be honest i send everything i sell by either recorded or special delivery depending on how much has been paid for the item! even my freebies esp if a phone is sent recorded.... ive never trusted the post office one inch! plus also there are some people out there that will try it on (no offence to anyone on here i mean ebay)

@ Nanu as for banning people with less than 5 feedback i dont agree as when i first started on here or ebay i had 0 feedback, there are genuine people out there with 0 feedback

I always ask if 0 feedback to pm me their contact details first including landline number before bidding....and i do check!

But if they dont pm me within a certain time and they bid then i just add them to the blocked list!

Lee,
You have learnt a very valuable lesson about Ebay. As Shelly says, if the item is valued over £38, especially if using Paypal, it should be sent by signed for or Special Delivery only. The maximum you will get back for First Class losses is 10x First class stamp.
There are people out there using Ebay and Paypal who know this and if you sent it first class only, will claim non delivery because they know Paypal will ask for a signature as proof of delivery. And you don't have one!
It's the same for insurance. Some ask for additional insurance on top of postage. It is not needed. The seller is responsible for getting the goods to the buyer, not the "I have sent it and it is now your responsibility" statement that you hear so often.
You can't complain to Paypal as they have all this in their Terms & Conditions for using the service. And Ebay own Paypal!
Could have been an expensive lesson mate.
Doug

EDIT: Just saw the value £22. But the above still applies if you ever decide to Ebay something valuable - send it Recorded!

Recorded delivery is still crap, as my postman, has posted many a recorded item through the door without me having to sign.

Ditto. So it is a widespread issue after all.

For items posted with Royal Mail which have no intrinsic value, or where a customer cannot provide evidence of posting, there will be compensation for loss, damage and delay of a minimum of 6 x 1st class stamps at the first weight step. In the event of a compensation claim for loss we will refund the postage paid or 6 x 1st class stamps at the first weight step, whichever is greater.

For lost or damaged items that have an intrinsic value, with evidence of posting with Royal Mail (such as a certificate of posting) and evidence of value (such as an invoice or receipt) customers will be entitled to a postage refund plus compensation for actual loss up to the value of the item, or 100 x 1st class stamps at the first weight step, whichever is the lowest;

Windows Live Messenger just got better. Find out more!

Copy the email and paste it into the dispute panel. Then phone paypal and tell them.

Posted by streetgang
If he has admitted recieving the item and does not inform paypal and they end dispute in his favour and a repayment is involved then he may be guilty of obtaining goods by deception! you should inform paypal straight away and keep all relevant mails, regardless of the amount involved its the principal too

Posted by jcwhite_uk
Wa this resolved in your favour?

Posted by garlic_bread
HEY JC, It was resolved i linked him to this thread and he endded the dispute!!
