Hi there - new here - tried looking for an answer on the forums but couldn't find one.

I've been given a C905 prototype - but the firmware is rubbish and it keeps on locking up. I received a text from a Spanish number saying "You must upgrade to R1DA027 SW. If you do not know how to upgrade SW contact Prototype shop"

I've tried using PC Suite to update but it says no update available. SE customer services say they don't support prototypes.

Any idea how I can get some working firmware on my C905 - prototype build is AP

I just got the same text after having the phone for about a week. I can't find anything about a Prototype shop.

I found a walkthrough for downloading MMS and WAP settings here: http://www.howardforums.com/s[....]1231835&highlight=download+mms

I'm on T-Mobile in the US but the SE website does not list the C905 for that combo of carrier and country. It makes calls just fine, but I can't download the MMS or internet settings. Will this DW (software?) update help?

Professional tools like Se-Tool box can flash the prototype phones.
You can take it to some shop to have it done, should not charge you more than 4-5 quids.
