Havent posted on here in a while, but thought i'd post a question.
How many text messages (sms) do you send on average in a month?
Anyone beat me ? I send roughly 300-500 a month, bet someone can but can anyone beat Girl sends 14,528 text messages in a single month!

I normally reach just over 1,000 sometimes a bit more. My friends and family all have unlimited texts and we do that more so than calls. Calls are shorter ones except one particular friend of mine we spend sometimes hours talking on the phone. But 14,000 or more for that girl thats crazy how does she find the time. Bet there is no plan that gives that many although O2 pay and go Text Anytime tariff is 12,000 texts per month. But your average person would never even reach 2,000. Wonder what the average is.

yeah I send somewhere close to 1500 a month, but saying this I also use my phone for about 800 mins a month, no wonder my battery doesn't make it to 7pm!

The Orange Dolphin package unlimited text offer is capped at 3,000. I tend to text as much as i talk as well.

That tarriff is awful, on Orange Dolphin, top up £10 for 300 free texts, and free facebook, and you still get your £10 credit

I was cheking and i pay + US $70 = 50 GBP for my contract an this is what i have:
300 min
50 text, Orange to Orange only, they charge me if i send SMS to another operator
Unlimited data, EDGE and GPRS only as Orange still doesnt have 3G here!
So yes, is awful.

Prices here are ok for talking and internet. You get 150 minutes for calling at a cost of 1 euro. The 3G internet is 5 eur for 1GB of internet traffic. But the texts are a bit expensive if you use them a lot... It's better to talk instead of chat with sms.
P.S. Monthly I send about 50 texts and a lot of internet traffic.

Ouch! Thats really expensive for what you get. I'm amazed you get so little texts included in that plan. Afterall, they cost the network nothing so 50 per month is astonishing.
Personally i have 600mins 500texts for £35pm (iPhone tariff). I use roughly 200mins and 200texts lol

Well the strange thing with my p1 was that it started to freeze a lot last month. One moment it was ok, and the next frozen like an ICE BERG. I started deleting some of the installed software on it that i don't use THAT much, but it didn't help.
And strizlo told me to see the sent and received messages.I had about 800 received and 16 324 set messages. When i saw that I felt my eyes moving out of their position, so i selected them all and pressed delete. the phone was deleting the messages 57 minutes and 20 seconds. Most of the messages were sent at my boss couse he forbid me to call him, a lot of meeting he said, and the rest to people who i don't want to talk with. I do prefer to talk with people.

Previously i used to buy free sms scheme from vodafone, and i was sending 2500-3000 sms per month. Now it has been costly so now i dont buy free sms and now i am sending merely 10 sms

Apparently texts hardly costs the networks anything so unlimited packages are handy. I text more than i call but thats cos of everyones busy lives. Cant stop and talk much so we text. I text people throughout my busy day. Its very handy i think text messaging. I interact with people once we meet up to go out.

assuming you sleep 8 hours a day, and don't text during your sleep, 8000 a month works out at around 16 an hour or one text every 4 minutes of your waking life
this begs the question of whether someone texting this much actually does anything else with their life?
or do you send 4 texts quickly in one minute and then have 7 minutes off before the next 4 texts? the mind boggles!
