How to get more items on today screen - WM 6.1

Basically I have installed some software which I use for work onto my Omnia and just wondered whether its possible to add a icon for it onto the Today screen? When I go into the Today screen settings to choose what I want it isnt listed but somethings seem to be listed and others do not.

Any help?
