You want the "o2 mobile web" APN not the default pay monthly APN

Thanks. Do u mean like this...
mobile.o2.co.uk and not wap.o2.co.uk ?

Works now!

I have a streaming problem aswel on o2 uk after a video connects to player the screen goes black and video doesnt play

Only works if ur on contract. If u are then APN must be mobile.o2.co.uk

@boysie: you mean it's only gonna work if you have a postpaid account? will it work if you have a prepaid account with credits?
Posted by Boysie99
No wont work mate. Having been on o2 pay and go. They seem to give a reduced service to pay and go customers which imo SUCKS!
Posted by Greggy
Yep it stinks that o2 dosnt give the same service for payandgo as they do for contract. Perhaps deadelus or sum other o2 expert (expert in the loosest sense lol) could explain why this is so. And are they planning to change it

Correct me if I'm wrong.
Contract = Postpaid
Pay and Go = Prepaid
Right?
What you're telling guys is that you can only be able to stream videos on your phone if you have a contract and it will not work on pay and go accounts, right?
Posted by Boysie99
Yep. This only applies to o2 here i think. I haven't heard of any other operators doing this in the uk.
Posted by dennevhyn_31
Oh ok. Just curious, do you know what's the reason why O2 UK is doing that?
Posted by Boysie99
Ive no idea mate. Daedalus is the man to answer that.

get over to t-mobile, the have settings for streaming / web&walk / mobile TV / MMS. their signals improved a lot, but you can still be in a low signal area.
failing that, try orange, they seem to have unlimited payg internet tariffs also.

u should knw daedelus by now . he wont reply here because he cant put anything positive about o2 lol
