Cam:
1- V3.0
2- V1.7
3- Compact FinePix A345 (4 MPx)

Size:
1- 2.4 MB
2- 3.26 MB
3- 1.75 MB

C905 have natural color, natural lighting but the quality look like the 4MPx compact.
V3.0 and V1.7 look like the same quality but file size in V1.7 is 40% bigger.

Darkmagician, your manual ISO settings are in WB or Effects?
[ This Message was edited by: Raffles88 on 2009-05-08 14:13 ]

@kojak_ct: Thanks for that comparison!

Should we set Photo Quality: NORMAL or FINE ?

darkmagician 1.61

darkmagician 1.7

Posted by eeeyaaan
i had the exact same lizard daviep.. hehe

Posted by masada1971
darkmagician's 1.7

Posted by eeeyaaan
darkmagician, can you put the iso settings to the white balance instead of the effects? or can it be set to the brightness setting instead? i think your 1.7 has great colors but i find auto mode a little dark when used indoors and with flash.. that's all

Posted by Bip
new driver improved video mode ? and one question how to use manual iso on 1.7 somebody plz explain it i'm a noob !
[ This Message was edited by: Bip on 2009-05-08 17:56 ]

Posted by daviep
@bip-in your cam menu the effects menu selects iso-black and white is now iso 100,negative 200,sepia 400,solarise 800.
@eeeyaaan-i would keep the iso in effects as i dont use them-just my preference.
got the lizard in menorca around 9 years ago,since then added several others to my collection.

@Raffles88
it is in Effects

@Bryan84
if you are looking for better result and dont care about the pic size then go for the FINE

@eeeyaaan
yes I can but I think white balance is an importan option !!

mmm brightness setting
we can do that but in brightness I recommend to put it like the zoom option not just a selection
brightness 1
brightness 2
brightness 3
brightness 4

I like ISO 100 to be the defult ISO for night shots but when I relesed my 1.61 some of the uses said that the indoor shots were dark
that why I put the ISO option
you can select ISO 200 or 400 for brigher shots ^_^

@Bip
video mmmm I dont know ( usually I dont use it that why I didnt mod it )

and about the ISO
just go to the Effects option
off = auto ISO
black and white = ISO100
...
..
..

^_^

@daviep

otherwise
we have to stay on the first issue

Posted by eltoffer

@DarKMaGiCiaN

Thanks for the answer!

@eltoffer
1.$s6
I did not say you must
I just said I put $s5 to fix the problem that I faced when I copied the K850 ISO line to the C905
at the end and before I released the driver I wanted to arrenge the codes
and I found $s5 is been used so I stard searching for free one
$s2 $s3....... and I found $s6 is the only empty reg because that I used it ^_^

2.porp14
yes I got the idea from you and I found that is a good Idea to add it ^_* but is that in Prop14 !!

3.TWILIGHT
I can make a theme for you but you have to wait at least one week ^_^

@necoo
OK ^_^ I'll fix it

@Bryan84
welcome

@mauasca

so what do you thik about the driver

Posted by onestop
i'm using Darkmagician camdrive 1.7, and i'm having problem with its colour that when i try to take shots that have yellow lights. Its turn from yellow to green !! I'll try to upload the pics for you to see how it is

but in daylight its really impressed me. Great job Darkmagician keep up good work

Posted by eeeyaaan
thanks again for the answer darkmagician, i only have two problems that i don't like that much at the moment..

1. still, auto mode shot indoors takes dark (or just not that bright/pleasing to the eye) pictures

2. skin color taken indoors no matter what mode, has yellow portions, especially towards the edges of the skin.. i'll post a picture later maybe to show you what i mean

PS i like that you can use manual ISO, is there any way you could change the headings of the option? i mean, instead of it saying "effects" can't it say "ISO" or "ISO settings"? and instead of the "black and white, sepia, etc, can't it say the iso? is that possible to modify?

Posted by DarKMaGiCiaN
@onestop
I want to see the pics ^_^
and I'll try to take some shots in yellow so see the problem ^_^

@eeeyaaan

1. I'm working on new version and set the ISO back to 200
that mean no dark indoor shot ^_^

2. I also worked on this my test gave me no yellow edage
but I'm not sure unless someone else test that ^_^

3. the problem is the menu has nothing to do with the camdriver
so for now we cant help

Posted by onestop
All taken with Darkmagician 1.7 and i already forget the settings

very dark room and the light should be yellow

if you want comparison tell me, i have digicam that quite good but have to wait for tomorrow

indoor less light shots, the yellow is real.
you can see sky blue LED light ?? that should be more deep blue

indoor less light shots, don't mind about focus just look at the colour.
red colour on the car is not red but blue is blue

thats all i have notice for now, if you can fix it then please

there is storm here TT

just take after the storm all auto with cloudy WB

from the pics posted and the video that eltoffer posted, i noticed that in indoor pics and videos, the color on the center of the pics are slightly different from the sides. usually there will be a circle on the center that have a slightly offset color. from the video eltoffer posted, you can see the difference when he's recording his floor. maybe it's just me or is it really there? maybe someone can clear this up?

Posted by onestop
@ @l+3r 3g0
may be when he's recording videos he turn on the 3LED light

Posted by eeeyaaan
thank you darkmagician and the others who replied this is a great forum anyway, about the yellow skin color taken indoors with flash results in these kind of pictures...

notice how it becomes yellow near the edges?
[ This Message was edited by: eeeyaaan on 2009-05-10 11:26 ]

Posted by masada1971
yellowish near skin edges was always an issue for c905 modded or not...

Posted by eeeyaaan
you think it can be fixed somehow?

Posted by masada1971
since modders can add manual iso and better video capturing in the camdrivers,everything can be fixed i pressume...after all,that's the biggest advantage of platform...
[ This Message was edited by: masada1971 on 2009-05-10 12:19 ]

Posted by eltoffer
yes it can be fixed and i guess how to improve it, but right now im busy on my book ^^ so you must be patients if i have a chance i will post one pic without that yellowed corners

If You can fix it I am changing camdriver to that one without yellow spots on skin in dark parts of the picture (indoor with flash).
BTW where can I find SE original camdriver 2.7 (or how to make a copy of that one i have in my c905)

(my c905 is on service right now, key nr. 4 is not working properly)

I'm waiting for comments from experiment..

BeachSnow mode; clear night shot..

Posted by DarKMaGiCiaN
@l+3r 3g0
I think that because of the way how C905 work
regarding to the video the only time the focus area change when moved was when the focus area changed from dark spot to a light spot

@barareklam
I saw the driver somewhere in the fourm but I dont kow where exactly

waw pohuman is also here
welcome to the thread ^_^

@diablilla1980 beautiful dog.. I like your last photo..

C905 don't need negative contrast, "HUE" don't work like k850. =/
And:
#SET_REG(79,XX)
#SET_REG(7A,XX) too... Iso goes to 400 in beach & snow scene.

whats new on pohuman´s driver????

Posted by DarKMaGiCiaN
@eeeyaaan
DM !!!!
waitting for your test result
by the way can you check the yellow edage problem in skin
is it still visible or now ^_^

@Raffles88
it depends
in my driver twilight landscape is the best selection for twilight landscape shots because of the long exposure

twilight portrait is good for twilight portrait but sometimes Auto do better job on it

other situation I prefer Auto ^_^

@diablilla1980
nice shots and dog ^_^

Dark Magician,

I used V1.7 driver of yours ove the weekend when iin the club lol

The pictures just seemed really really white! Worse then before i think.

I checked and used diffeent ISO's preferablly, 100-200, but still seemed the same.

I had noticed the skin colour too, but i see you have corrected this now..
