C905 CamDriver Modded

@jake20

THANK YOU for your willingness to assist with the c905. I appreciate your effort very much!

As far as manual ISO, we do have the DM3.8 modded driver which already has manual ISO, manual focus, a color correction option, and a partially or incorrectly implemented shutter speed option.

I would say that these are the things I would like to see in a modded cam driver..

1. Manual ISO (as many ISO choices as possible)
2. Manual Shutter Speed
3. Manual Color Saturation
4. Flash options (Forced and Reduced Flash power if possible)
5. Better Video quality

Jake at first would be a single driver without manual settings.Will try to optimize a single driver and adjust it and then later try to make a manual settings for c905 with some new mode of operation.The single driver for c905 would be equal to the other models with all optimized functions more manual iso working together in the Effects menu.

single driver c905
forced flash or without forced flash , the shutter speed xenon flash works
colors correction auto and scenes
xenon flash on => colors correction WB off disable and colors correction xenon flash on enable
xenon flash off => colors correction WB on enable and colors correction xenon flash off disable
xenon flash on => EV shutter speed xenon flash enable
xenon flash off => original EV whatīs this??? original EV (functions sensor: shutter speed, ISO works together)
If you want you can customize the area scene on the single driver with all the functions available.
About a camdriver manual settings in fact is already developed for some time and walks very well on k850 and c905 but the controller is in the EV with some features but we can leave after testing the single driver.We think that develop an optimized driver ready is a good option to be later implemented a manual settings, so the bugs or mistakes are minimized and the driver optimized more easily adapted to manual settings. What do you think guys.
cheers!

@brazzuka's
I am having a little trouble understanding your English here.. but no worries.
You are the expert, so however you would like to proceed is fine with me.

I will do whatever I can to assist you, and to help test. Just let me know what you need.

thanks again!!!

@jake
Now who did not understand was I
What part you donīt understand? part of the logic programming if yes, relax forget about those terms and we will be more practical.When we have free time and a position on the driver, in the sense that the driver is responding well let's do the tests with all of you and continue taking nice pics.

It be very cool if we could have the choice on whether to turn on the LED light for still pictures.
So we would have a choice on whether to use the LED light or the XENON flash for still shots

is that even possible?

a few shots with K_Michael driver. I think on Auto mode with good lighting, this may take better pics than DM3.8. Its very hard to say really, but pics do appear to come out a little brighter in this driver, but sometimes too bright during strong sunlight.
I took a bunch of shots today with this driver, but a few of them cam out over exposed due to just too much sunlight.
I really didn't have this issue with DM 3.8.

I honestly can't see a huge difference between this driver or DM3.8 when on ALL AUTO. Nevertheless K_Michael driver does take some very nice shots as you can see.

Now if we can add some manual ISO controls/shutter speed to this driver, it would be very nice.

this shot was taken with DM 3.8 beta
what is interesting is that I took this pic on AUTO setting in a completely DARK room, yet the C905 chose ISO 64

landworby,
this thread is a discussion about modifying the C905 camdriver, not a debate on which is the best camera phone.
you will find that everyone has a different opinion anyway..

Please, no thread hijacking here..

ok brazzuka's, is your first C905 driver ready for test yet?

just kidding

In the end which driver is the best engine to C905?

Posted by masada1971
tested almost all,from k's michael since eltoffer's and dm's camdrivers,i would say dm's 3.8 is the best till now.although we have to wait because dm's 3.8 released was beta and not final and as far as i know brazukka is working on something good.and we all know what brazukka means in terms of modding.

and something is known about the full version of DM when it will be more or less, or when Brazzuka show his work in the light of day?

Posted by masada1971
nope...nothing official...

Posted by Bryan84
For DM3.8 ... When I set Manual Shutter and use the EV-+ to adjust ... the lower my EV- (e.g. -2.0), my screen gets so dark ... and conversely more EV+ (e.g. +2.0), my screen gets so bright. What am I doing wrongly or that's the way? But if so, how can I take a good manual shutter shot?

Posted by masada1971
thats exactly how a lens with manual shutter,works..you ve to experiment with different ev sets to see whats fits you best depending of shot to be taken

Posted by Bryan84
But if it's so dark (-2.0), how do I take? Take at a very bright place?

Posted by masada1971
yes thats the point.. the lower the ev,the brighter the scene taken must be..

Hi Bryan,
I don't think that shutter speed is correctly implemented in DM3.8 , so its hard to manually get a shot like the running waterfall water unless you select twilight landscape to get a long shutter speed.
Basically you need a slow shutter speed to get the moving water effect, and a very fast shutter speed to capture or "freeze" drops of water in time.

I was able to get a nice running waterfall picture last year with DM3.5, but I honestly am not sure how I did it. It was a combination of ISO + EV control.

here was the shot

Oh! Not properly implemented? So means if I do want to achieve those effort, I should try using Twilight Landscape (long shutter) and Sport (slow shutter, right?) mode you think?

what are the difference between original camdriver and DM 3.8?? can you show me some photos were i can see this difference??

Posted by jake20
@prototype

just look back in this thread and you will see sample photos.. your just going to have to make some effort and take some time out of your day to do some research yourself.
Original camdriver pics are at the very beginning, and DM 3.8 towards the end.

Everything is here in this thread..
