Have a very steady hands or a tripod.

I want to know about indoor shots. =X

i mean the setting and i do have a steady hand

i set it night landscape, infin and iso off (normally set on 100 during day) and i just can't get what i want in the night but user "Vit" has some nice night shot that i currently still unable to get it.

the issue is about colours with the incandescent WB turned on, which doesn't have colour correction. And is not a matter of increasing the exposure time either, it's really a matter of white balance. The colours should have a warm yellow tone to them in order to reproduce the actual scenario, but they have only soft yellow tones.

no not WB
this yellow is because of something called "Fixed Pattern Noise" which "appears in very long exposures and is exacerbated by higher temperatures"

this kind of noise appears even in DSLR but in highter ISO
see the example
sony alpha

here is like what we have in C905
from pentax K20D

Using DM 3.5, here is a shot I took in my church. I set it to Twilight Landscape. But yet the photo was taken only at ISO100. I may be wrong but I thought Twilight Landscape should be ISO400?

Posted by penguin_xp
@panonski

yes, i believe that eltoffer's version is quite good on this indoor shot.

@DM,

sorry for this comparison, i'm just trying to help in improving the camdrivers that you were making.
I am using your camdriver btw. we hope that indoor night shots will improve on your upcoming driver.
I used twilight landscape on both shots.

guys, i got this today in the mail.. not bad.. only 5 days shipping from Chins to USA!!
Anyway, I gotta say that the plastic case that comes with this is much better than I thought it was going to be.
You can still us the slider with the case on even!! very cool.

Ok, i just took 2 quick comparison shots with it.. and I kind of rushed them in my excitement, and didn't use a tripod, but I am really surprised this thing works as well as it did.
Here is a stop sign first with the lens off, then with the zoom lens on. Not bad for the very first picture I took with this thing.
I think this lens has potential!. The acrylic case is great too.. you have full functionality of the phone with it, including the slider. (the front acrylic cover is also optional, lens works with or without it on, which is also cool)

I bet anouk, rajac, and some others here could take some great shots with this thing. I am still learning myself.

Regular, ZOOM lens off

With ZOOM lens on, Focus on stop sign

Did any1 noticed in DM 3.5 that when U R in video mode and want to use "light on" option there is not such option?
At this place is implemented "flash" options from camera. I can't take video with light. Do U also have something like this?
DM can U fix it?

Posted by penguin_xp
@mikely_28
I don't experience such an issue. I can still took videos with lights on.

@DM,
We're looking forward for your great camdriver.

Posted by penguin_xp
@jake20
Where did you buy the lens? I would like to have it also.
Shots taken were good.

I actually bought 2 of them, because I wanted to try both lens connectors, and i wanted the tripod also

Here are the links of the ones i bought.. same lens in both, but one has a tripod and a different connector.
Acrylic connector No Tripod
and
Clamp Connector with Tripod

pretty cool accessory for the money

I tought that something is wrong with FW, but with Toffer camdriver everything is OK, but with DM has problem. I can't still turn on light in video mode

Posted by jake20
@mikely_28
I have no problem turning the light on with DM 3.5 with videos either

Posted by mikely_28
Which ver do U have? ISO or effects? I have ISO.

Posted by jake20
i use ISO also, with the en.lng file

Posted by jake20
here is another one.. i used sports setting on the 6x zoom shot.. still playing with the settings to see what works best with this zoom lens.
oh.. DM 3.5 also..

Posted by onestop
@mikely_28

I used to have problem like you do too and i solve it myself. So what you should do is try to switch back to camera mode first and change scenes back to auto, then try to turn on the video light again. This works for me every time i can't turn on the video light

What do You think about telescope lens now when You have it for a day or two. Is it something to order ( I just do not want do be dissappointed like I was with TV-out ITC-60 cable, that does not show video on TV).
Which one can You recommend, with tripod, which I btw allready have, some SE, or one with plastic cover?
BTW can You be so kind and post full size images, with and without zoom. If You cant post it here, mail it to barareklam@gmail.com
thanks

I have only took a few shots with the telescope lens so far, but I thinks its a cool accessory. The price is very cheap, so even if you don't use it very much, its not very expensive. And I wouldn't expect a professional grade lens for $6.99 either.

If you use this with a tripod, or really take your time focusing, I think you can get some great shots.
When my tripod arrives, I will take some more shots. I only have the lens with the acrylic cover right now, so I cannot compare the two.
I can try to take some more comparison shots if you are interested in seeing them.
Here are the first 2 shots i took again, but full size this time (3MP).

gonna try and take some more this week.

Posted by wahehe15
nice one jake,
i'll be waiting for the other lens to come

Posted by Bryan84
I am not willing to pay USD10 for the posting charges from Hong Kong to Singapore. Cause I know it should be barely USD2 to send over. So I'll pass on the lens.
