abaout what in heaven's name you're talking about ?

All I'm saying that the yelow spots are to large and frequently seen on pics with enough light taken indoor and without flash.

For instance... Night shoot is fine, but indoor is just shitty and lousy...I just wonder why is tjat, cause this spots on pics are in all camdrivers and firmwares so far.

Panonski: Yes! And I just used to it. Maybe just wait some time. They will find what is going on and fix it. Be patient! Not all things at the same time.

Mazi: Nice pics! Great stuff U gat at home! I live in Gdynia. Two streets from Radmor Factory

This spots are main problem for me. How to get rid of them ?

I don't know. Try to use flash light. It's less than without it.

DM 3.5 auto

3.28mb

Eltofer 3.9 auto

2.88mb

DM 3.5 auto

3.26mb

Eltofer 3.9 auto

3.11mb

The quality is the same but eltofer's color is more realistic and the size of the picture is smaller.
I think eltofer's driver is better for now.

more fantastic comparison shots, thanks!!!

it definitely looks like toffer driver produces a blueish white compared to DM 3.5

did you use the flash for all of these indoor shots? and everything auto?

Posted by jake20
I know this may be a lot to ask, but could one of you "expert" photographers fill in this chart i put together.
Its kind of a general guide to what settings may work best for each environment type.
I realize that each shot may be different, but at least this would help me, and maybe others who really have no clue what settings to use.

Also, feel free to edit this chart as you feel necessary.

Setting ----------------------------- ISO | WB | FLASH | Color Correction | EV | SCENE

Outdoor Day Good Lighting
Outdoor Day Low lighting

Outdoor Evening Dusk

Outdoor Night Time Good lighting
Outdoor Night Time Low lighting

Indoor Good lighting
Indoor Low lighting

as always, thanks guys!!

panonski: I don't know what do U expect. Just take a look : U have a phone. A camera is just added thing. If U want perfect shots buy professional camera like sony alpha. Just take a look what Toffer & DM did with this addon to phone. They did almost prof camera. What do U expect? Not everything can be fixed. Some things should be like they are. For me the pictures that I take with both camdrives are almost perfect! And it's enough for me! I have good quality digital camera made by Canon. Belive me - I rather take pictures with my C905 with modded camdriver than with my digital camera. The camera is quite big. The phone I have always with me. Give them a little rest! DM and Toffer will do everything to make camdrive better but some things will stay as they are. They can manage it. Tell me what will U do without modified camdriver by them??? Any complains? No! Phone takes pictures as it takes 'cos it's just a phone - not a digital camera. Peace man! I don't mind for Yellow dots.

DM & ELTOFFER KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!

Man, I had several cameraphones before this one and I can say that I had never seen those yellow spots before. I guess that panonski is right to complain about that. It's not anyone's fault here. We should not blame our fellow modders, here. But what's wrong in poining it out?

Yeah, man! You're right! I said the same in previous posts of mine. Take a look at my indoor pictures without flash. Those yellow spots are quite unacceptable in such a high end device. But I guess it has something to do with optics, though.

to > eltoffer

Man I really like your hard working with drivers, but.....

BUT.....

yellow spots are there no matter what do you ( or anyone else ) do. How's that?

Take a look indoor pic with ENOUGH light from room lightening.

One lamp, ore even two, or three making good light...Better then dark, I will say everyone should be agree with that fact.

however, pic taken under such light conditions is not good. Full of noise, and this yellow spots. More or less noticeable, but it's there.

On the other side, we can see pic from dark. No yellow spots.

I notice very shitty red and white colour. Red is full of noise ( and more or less this yellow spots ) and white also, but on white is more visible yellow color.

Thanks

@jake20

Well for those night shot i use normal mode and play with EV control and no flash, i didnt use twilight landscape cus i would have taken pics very very blurry or "moved" due to exposure time

@ panoski & vit

well guys i really understand what you claim im c905 owner too and is annoying to pay for something doesnt works properly, to be honest i have never notice about this yellow spots, ONLY yellow corners and i worked on in first i thought it was a hardware issue but after i discovered why was it and fixed it (still wroking on) but now is less notable than before, isnt it?? (btw i asked for experts help to work on it and nobody gave me support)

i will try to found out why is it happening, but maybe it is a hardware issue or maybe im wrong as before about on yellow corners but ill give my best

see you soon

SPECIAL THANKS TO Theliel

eltoffer,
I've seen you mention improvements to video recording (big thanks for CIF, by the way). Have your improvements been only in color, exposure, etc. or have you also improved the actual encoding/recording (bitrate, etc)? Also, I assume the possibility of VGA is still out (after the first attempt of VGA 15fps)? Thanks, again.

Posted by eltoffer
i only improve colors and sharpness bitrate or encoding is quite impossible for us it depends on FIRMWARE, so VGA is still impossible

Posted by jake20
went to the zoo today, and took over 100 pictures! LOL

i was playing with a lot of settings.. but one thing i noticed is that the lens seems really sensitive to sunlight. If there was any direct sunlight directly at the lens, the image was way too bright.

How do you guys deal with this?
Do you lower the EV settings to darken bright light pictures if the sun is too bright?

Guys! I have an idea! Did any1 tried to look to the pictures of W995?? Is there also problem with yellow dots? It has also 8.1MP camera. If it is hardware problem than can eny1 can compare pictures? Maybe in W995 is other type of lens?
What do U think?

look now last photo here..

that one with motorcycles ...Look red colour ( yellow spots on red became to orange noise )

and look corner (right bottom ) with gray color.

All in all, on complete picture is many yellow noise.

Obviously pic is taken with enough light, everyone see that.

I guess people should post not only lower resolution pictures here, but also 100% crop of them, just like I did, because all the fine detail and chromatic deviations are in there, in the pixel-to-pixel level.

Anyway, it seems not to be a fault from nobody here.

I will post some nice night pictures I took with DM 3.5 when I get home and then try to compare them with Toffer 3.9's.

Greetings to you all!

I also noticed that in Eltoffer's driver, i'm now using DM's driver
lets just wait for improvements

How do you guys deal with situations where there is too much daylight, and the picture is just too bright.
Do you lower the EV settings?

Posted by jake20
guys, take a look at this pic.. the sun was behind clouds yet the background sky looks so bright when i focus and it is making the entire picture way too light..
Why is the lens making the sky in the background so bright??
How do I deal with this?

thanks

Posted by pohuman
Because brightness or exposure or contrast much.. Camdriver broken..

Posted by mikely_28
If U R faced into sun the picture always will be too bright. Try to take pictures when sun is behind U. Try to combine with EV and ISO.

Posted by Luhccas-U1a
@Panonski,that yellow spots are caused by white balance auto-adjust... Even with a choosed white balance this will appear cause is a firmware "function".
Maybe locking this we can avoid that cromatic aberrations,but...

Posted by eltoffer
The best way to avoid it is using flash, i know there is no possibility to use it but maybe forcing it to be able you could get better results, for now try to play with EV control

Posted by panonski
there is no any chance to play with EV,

results are pretty the same.

For example, I tried take a pic with low light ( -2.0 EV ) hopping that I will later adjust this EV on computer .

Boy, that was sound great..I'm avoiding yellowness and later just adjust light in photoeditor.

Results are shitty. Even shittier then the original file with yellow noise.

Hm.... I wonder how to avoid that.

@jake20
Let me tell you how to do it.You don't need -EV,just use Spot, then you can change shutter speed as you like. Here are the examples:

These pics were all taken at auto mode without EV control.
And why are they different?Just think about it.

@anouk82,
Your pictures are amazing! What settings did you use for the most recent cat pictures? I can't believe how great they look. Even at 1600x1200 (thanks for using Imageshack and posting so large), there is so little noise. You aren't doing any post-processing either, correct?

well,

I have a problem which I already describe it several pages ago. Can you help me?

I was doing following things.... 1) Chanching original driver with some of yours ( don't know which one exactly ) but with ISO settings

2) I realize that ISO settings doesn't work very well, and I changed this driver with one of eltoffers.

3) In the mean time I upload lng file, with english language.

So.... Now I have mixed up situation...

Don't really know how to change original state back.

I want lng out, and some driver who work fine, or I want lng file here where it is, but with driver for which is lng upload at all.

Cause now, I have ISO which doesn't work at all.
