i have tried but no success thats why i asked to you a video, do you really get 15 fps at vga??????

about to use other not so high res i think theres no 23,XX which controls that res i.e. wqvga i think the only res are 144*176, 128*96, 320*240 and recently discovered 640*480 any way ill be around here looking for your updates XD

Yes,a big and pixelated video at 15fps !This is why i neither upload...

About 23,** i got some weird resolutions...
Tried 352x240,380x285,420x315 and a lot of other values on Supported sizes... Sometimes worked,sometimes the camera shutdown.
And about the frames,no one get more than 18fps with a lot of errors.
Now i'll try to found and boost up the bitrate to make CIF resolution our "default" video recording size
I thought it was on cam_vf_buffer= 000X; or on "send X bytes at bla,bla,bla" but no sucess...
I'll continue hunting

Posted by Theliel
bitrate are defined into encoder, and this are out from Driver, this cam dont have hardware support for encoder, so its out. You can control with video format you can record and color space, but encoder options you cant

Posted by Luhccas-U1a
Well... If we can't let's left they are and concentrate on still image again

Posted by Theliel
the best options are CIF: 352 x 288 at 25fps, i have this setting time ago.

With 25fps you can gain about 5fps per second. You cant change bitrate, but if this its constant and you change the framerate, them you obtain a better Quality:

25fps are pal specification, so you dont bother about this, and you can gain about a 20% in Quality without sacrifice nothing.

Link are correct, copy/paste, dont click

I prefer a lot of more others mods like DM, eltoffer... and of course mine. I suppose every ppl could make a own drivers, and all will be differents

This mod use 15fps only for 352*288 for Video recording , dont like
Dont tweak JPG compression for all sizes, only for fine 8MP. I belive that setting are the same that DM, but i dont compared them
All manual setting break with Cybershot Camera. A good mod are tweak some aspect to obtain a better IQ/Performance without kill others aspects. For example, replace 320*240 video recording for 352*288 without kill quality or poor performance. For example tweak some HUE, Saturation... values for better IQ (for somes, maybe lesser for others)

But of course, anyone have differents needs

K850 dont work equal for video modes. You must setting first resolution into Video Size definitions, for example:

2a[160,120,9C4], //2a[140,F0,BB8] VR 320 x 240 YCbCr 25 fps fixed
2b[160,120,5DC], //2b[140,F0,5DC] VR 320 x 240 YCbCr 15 fps fixed
2c[160,120,2EE], //2c[140,F0,2EE] VR 320 x 240 YCbCr 7.5 fps fixed
2f[160,120,9C4], //2f[140,F0,BB8] VF 320 x 240 YCbCr 25 fps

And change the proper register with the proper value for the proper resolution:

seq_vf_config_2a = // VR
#SET_REG(23,13) // HS_DRAFT_IMAGE_SIZE 320x240 352*288 = 13
$cf.07 1 // If in menu mode

$f $r3 111 $d0002
$cx
$sf.01 1 // Video HS
$s8 00
;

DarKMaGiCiaN 3? or eltoffer 3.61?

also, is there any en.lng file for DarKMaGiCiaN 3
i saw some camdrivers in some chinese forums can change the camera interface
and then the part of "effect" will show as "iso" "off" "100" "200" ....
quite COOOOOOL!! right?

DM 3.0 +Video CIF at 25fps:

http://theliel.papipapito.com/Video/camdriver0_DM3Video.7z

Some mods are better than others, but others mods are simply different. In my point, i like more DM colors, but eltoffer drivers are more clean.

Anyway, you always can take any mod from them plus original Camdriver and make own driver more exactly with your preferences. Some PPl like more contrast, other prefer more Sharpness...

Mod any language file its to easy. Only need change some strings to others. You can use LNE editor for example and edit any lng file you want.

most probably are that problem are in GDFS, and I suppose you dont have a backup of your GDFS.

Anyway you can try other options:

a) Change your language and back again to your default language
b) make a master reset

Anyway, im searching where are exactly the problem

2s... im sure its possible add other second more. Default are 1/1, but its easy change. Anyway, taken any photo to 2s you will need a tripod.

The tripod is not the problem.Maybe I have iron hands?
Anyway,I can get more beautiful night view with 2s...

@rajac
Simple see the camdrivers with manual shutter fast/slow and add 2s in your driver buttt the true manual shutter speed fast/slow

@Theliel
correct arguments

Good job guys!

@brazzuka's

you tested DM3.11? me too ....
when I take a night mode photo..I can feel that the shutter speed is obviously much more slow
but when I put the photo into pc
it's show that just 1s exposure
do you got the same case?
------------------
COOOOOOL!!
I DID IT...

The part of "Effects", I changed it to "ISO" "ISO 100"......
Its match with DM 3.0 camdriver
AND I TESTED IT ALREADY....IT WORKS ON MY PHONE
ENJOY YOURSELF!!
BEWARE: MY FIRMWARE IS "R1FA035"
I don't know does it suitable for all ver.
PLEASE DO A BACKUP WITH YOUR OWN "en.lng"

Download and place the file in tpa/preset/system/language

@DM

Im using your 3.11
sometimes even I lock ISO to 400 or 200 or 160
then I take a shot
but found out ISO let say is just 64 even I choose different ISO level
what's wrong with this matter?
can i force it to ISO 400, 200, 160?

also, the longest exposure time of your 3.11 is 1s?
haha ~ can you release a 2s ver.?
really thanks

DarKMaGiCiaN is your best camdriver what you did.

No, I haven´t tested the drivers DarKMaGiCiaN or Eltoffer but both camdrivers are good for who want or like of shootpoint and more you can play with the colors correction and others functions avaliable for c905.
The most important, both DarKMaGiCiaN or Eltoffer work upon camdriver own the c905 so the driver is relatively stable.
For shutter 2s have to use manual shutter speed fast/slow but some technique for the c905 to excite the sensor to a response in 2s.

Sharpness values higher than 8 work on K850.

I tested this language file myself, all the options. What firmware do you guys use?

Sorry for double post.

Just a short note: Cybershot Xperience is NOT at all difficult to use. All Auto settings are properly configured and you don't have to meddle with Manual Settings until you want to. The LNG file (if properly working) also helps in making it truly user-friendly.
I'll check it again today to find possible problems.

Would a help if anyone can post a pic showing what happens when this file is uploaded.
