I opened this topic in the wrong forum so I'm now opening it here. I hope the admin will delete the old one.
I currently have a K750i and I'm buying a new phone. Probably P1 because I can get it at a really low price. I'm used to occasional gaming on my k750 so i've got a couple of questions about p1.

1. Can I play standard 240x320 games that were originaly made for, let's say, k800?
2.How many good games are there actually for p1i?
3. Can I play all UIQ 3 games on p1i?
4. Where to find games for that phone?
5. How fast is it in running 3D games? I mean, how good is the framerate?

These are my biggest concerns:

1. If i had a couple of k800i games (240x320 screensize) will they work on p1? I noticed that p1 doesnt have softkeys and most of the games for "normal" phones make use of the softkeys (LSK & RSK). So the question is : Is there a button on p1 that is used like a softkey in games? Imagine this situation : I'm playing a strategy game (that was made for "normal" 240x320 phones) and i need to open the map with the left sofkey. But P1 doesnt have softkeys, so is there a button that i can use to open the map? I hope you understand what i mean.

The other question is this: If a game has been made for a Nokia Symbian OS 9 device, an it has a .sis extension can i play (install it) it on p1?

Please, i really need your help. Thanks.

You could play almost all the java games (.jar extension) in P1,but careful to choose the screensize,320x240 will appear fully in ur P1 screen.
Game controllers could be found in number pads(the red pads),it is 2,4,6,8 and 5.
But there are java games specially for touchscreens phones,it will be easier to play.
About .sis games,it is more sensitive than the javas.
Sis games made for special phones in special platforms,so,it is not universal.
Sis games for Nokia almost all can't play in P1,...this device need the sis games especially made for UIQ3.
About where to find it,just search our forum, many friends here uploaded the amazing games.

Yes, but those games would not provide any touch screen functionality. It may even be possible that the game would start up but wouldn't proceed further due to lack of buttons on the P1i.
2.How many good games are there actually for p1i?
I'd say 5-6 good UIQ3 games and another 6-8 Java games that are optimized to take advantage of the touch screen. The entire portfolio is less than 50.
3. Can I play all UIQ 3 games on p1i?
Most, but not all. A few games have been built around specific hardware on the P990 or Motorola Z8.
4. Where to find games for that phone?
Gameloft (PoP, 3D Wimbledon, Formula1, Pool), EA Mobile (FIFA, NFS, Snowboarding etc.), My-Symbian (app store), Infinite Dreams (Skyforce, KRally) etc.
5. How fast is it in running 3D games? I mean, how good is the framerate?
3D games are sufficiently quick. I've played the latest iteration of FIFA and Asphalt HD and haven't noticed any quirks. We aren't talking about FPS bragging rights while playing Crysis, are we?

Yep, exactly. That is what I meant in the first answer.

The other question is this: If a game has been made for a Nokia Symbian OS 9 device, an it has a .sis extension can i play (install it) it on p1?
Not necessarily. S60 has its own set of specific functions and code and the game might install on your phone but not execute at all. However, due to the on-going efforts of the active UIQ3 community, a few games have been ported over from S60 to UIQ3. They aren't perfect but are pretty good fun once you get the hang of the control buttons.

Please, i really need your help. Thanks.
