Ear phones do help with sound(lyk the pricey ones you keep sayin you hav). Bt you kinda need a gud player/device. Sonyericsson never disappoints. Even with standard-comes in the box ones(in-ear esp)

indeed. what i found interesting was this is in america... all these phones are being tested in america... soooo ... why aren't they being released in america.. grr frustrates me...

The HTC Leo is a fantastic device and it will be WinMo 7 compatible i.e. multitouch controls. Web, movies, pics etc. look amazing on Leo. Big screens are the current trend and Leo has a glorious screen. More to come from HTC as well, keep an eye out for their Android. Don't forget Tegra as well.
As much as I love the X2 and I really do, its weaker than many devices. It has the X1's processor which has been optimised but on heavy work you will feel the lack of speed. Also, if X2 has a year old processor, people should bring their expectations down with regards to Rachael. That too is a good device but the hardware is not as hot as it could be. The Rachael UI is nice like glownlow says.

@synn dont buy anymore bose products, they are worthless when it comes to sound reproduction ... awful awful history as a company, they are NOT concerned with HiFidelity. i wouldnt endorse them in person or on the internet.
@badassmam that sucks i was hoping that rachael would have the Qualcomm Snap chipset, if not then thats too bad, i was hoping that the Leo and Rach would be competitors. being pushed down market makes it that much less desirable. i know hope and pray for 2 things one that its better (2x) than the Hero, and if what you say is true about a new android device, i hope that its better than that as well! 8mpx is nice but lets see some horsepower too. the leo is too big, its a PMP with phone capabilities, its crossed the line, and that line was pretty much crossed by apple a few years ago.

I'm not saying Rachael is bad at all, its just that the spec sheet will be worse than its competitors. The X2 makes excellent use of the old X1 processor but it could have really done with a newer processor. Rachael has a smooth UI like the latest firmware of Sense UI; camera and music etc. are all good as well. For the average guy, its no issue at all but if you want to go deep and customise, modify and multi-task on the X2 for example; power always helps which is where Leo excels. Its not just HTC, Samsung are going that way however, you have to remember that phones like the Jet don't need 800Mhz whereas WinMo would definitely benefit. Android seems fine on a slow processor and honestly, I don't think Rachael needs more power.
What I will say is that despite some weaker hardware, these latest phones from
are very good. Its a big step forward for them, such products will be successful even if they are nothing new. They are good options for any consumer and many people will pick them up on design alone. Many will pick Satio on looks rather than the Nokia 12MP phone for example. Rachael in white is particularly attractive.
Some interesting phones are being tested, the 'square' phone is quite distinctive. More EU phones as well which is smart since
should have done an iPhone competitor ages ago but now there is more focus on full multimedia so its better to shift that way i.e. an all rounder like Satio.

I can't talk about the Tegra phone. I will say that there is a media oriented device coming with 3.6/3.8 inch screen with similar hardware to the Diamond 2. It has TV and stuff on it.

i m really hopin that the processor is at least a little more powerful than the iphone 3GS...coz i m sure it needs more power for a 852 x 480 pixels resolution if that is the correct resolution. would it be possible for u to let us know if its better iphone 3GS

if its competing with leo ... then im good with a 3.8 vs a 4.3 @ 852x480 but if not, and if its running 600-800mhz thats cool too (android) doesnt need TOO much power but multimedia and the like are hungry for a higher clock freq so hopefully itll perform well.

a well written letter by eldar. his sentiments are just like mine..
i have promoted and advertised
to anybody and anyone. as the techhead in our workplace, my recommendations and promotionary discussions were greatly considered by my workmates. (there was a point in time when 8 of us in our section all had k750 at the same time.) but after the k750/w800/w900/w810 success of , things started to deteriorate bit by bit. And my enthusiastic promotion of products waned as time went by.
When
Cybershot was launched, i had more expectations from cameraphones. I heavily promoted k800. "Quality shots whenever you go" i said. A k750-turned-w900-owner friend of mine (who got excited with my promotionary discussions) sold his sakura to get a k800. Then we went to a shooting spree and took pics like we were in a pictorial shoot. When the pics were printed, i was speechless. For i don't know how to start commenting negatively on a cameraphone labelled as a Cybershot and on a mobile company i love. The pic was not just the same as my numerous k750 prints. oil painting effects and smudges were smeared all over the photos. My friend was unhappy with his k800. he sold it to get a p990..
then came the numerous diasppointments: the lousy aftersales support, the mediocre video recording, the absence of a 3.5mm built in jack, the cracking keypads (of a walkman model i know you guys know), the continued cholesterol laden algorithm of cybershot, the higher than the competition prices, the steep prices of m2 cards etc etc.
the once strong
set of believers in my section weakened. 2 years ago, 2 of my workmates dropped for an apple. and i cannot persuade or promote to them anymore.
it is a relief that there are those who still believe in my
promotionary discussions.
what i do is i HONESTLY (am with you eldar hehehe) lay down the pros and cons of an
model and then also cite the possible options from the other mobile makers.
just this month, 2 friends of mine both purchased w902. i highly endorsed clear bass and clear stereo but i warned them of the camera quality that is above average, the loosely fitted back cover and the slower than the average phone speed when in multitasking while in walkman mode. The free MPS 100 and the reduced price proved to be tempting because not withstanding the loose fitting back cover (which personally annoys me), my 2 friends still got w902.
with the brand new company message of make.believe, i am hoping that
will make us believe again that they are the innovators of design and functionality in the mobile world - just like they used to be.
looking forward to MWC 2010
