X1 Screen Protector

My X1 is arriving tomorrow, or at least that is the plan!... and as I have always been trying to keep the screen of my Pxxx in excellent condition using a screen protector I was wondering what screen protectors are out there and which ones are the best.

I have been using Martin Fields the last few years and cannot fault the quality but i do not think they have one for X1 yet

On second thought, does the X1 really need a protector? I mean the Pxxx always had a soft kind of touch screen which was very susceptible to scratches. Is the screen on X1 made from similar materials?

personally I would always use a screen protector on any device with a touchscreen.
I've just checked back and Martin Fields have now released their protector for the X1

I've just ordered a generic one off ebay to tide me over till the higher quality protectors come out (e.g. martin fields). Hopefully it will do the trick for now!

Martin Fields and Exim are both already out.

that is such a shame! i looked on the Martin Fields website yesterday and it wasn't there so i ordered one from a company in Germany:

I guess i would have to wait to find out if its just as good as MF!

Hmmm... Here in singapore they're selling it with a screen protector, leather case and a free LCD photoframe too...

Has anyone seen a decent case/pouch?..

The best i've found so far that doesnt look like a leather wallet is:

I've been looking for a nice pouch/sock also.
That one looks quite nice actually, although the dimensions seem a little large, and I'd prefer it without the 'walkman' logo.

I received my Martin Fields screen protector(s) today, but I'm a bit confused about how the camera piece goes.
Here is a pic of it (taken with the X1, first attempt at macro shot)...

The outer part is obvious, but am I supposed to remove the round bit where the camera lens goes, and replace it with the other slightly smaller round bit?
Any ideas?

I guess that the circle on the square part is actually a hole.

You just have to put the big part on the camera and the small round bit on the lens, order shouldn't matter.

Yes you're right, the circle is a hole. I guess I should have had a closer look before asking.
It's fitted now, but I must say it looks a bit shoddy if you look closely.

it's a product from DuraSec, you can check its website: http://www.durasec.com/catalog/index.php?language=en

the name is Nano Tec. Really good!

I'm advising, not advertising:-)

martin fields is always one of the best IMO, but i have ordered mine long before from www.pdair.com with a laser cutting tech, their product seems decent, and a good thing is, they have released one long before the product is officially launched

so for a start, it ain't bad until the more established brand develop theirs

Yup but my country has it cas they also mass-ordered from them. I ordered from them directly as its cheaper. They have 3 choices for the delivery speed. I chose the slowest as its free shipping charge. Just a note for those who likes to use stylus as handwriting. It will give a rubbery feeling thus adding a great deal of resistance to the writing.
