P-Boys: I noticed that the Prerequisite to install Opera is that the it should have Organiser CXC162001 R1F01. Unfortunately mine is still CXC162001 R1C02. Kindly check yours.

@prolog- ako gamit ko internet.globe na APN. i'm on prepaid. what's good is hindi ako nababawasan.
i'm not 100% sure it's free for all..
yun www.globe na APN doesnt work for me.

I surf using BT just to check it out, yes I can surf from bed... but more than anything, I use BT as my IM para personal communcator talaga. Now, with Opera, I can surf as well!
Now that I know I can surf using BT, I'm planning to setup a small BT network here in my house... a small USB relay should be enough to extend the cable length.

@paomig, you can dl opera via P800, but it might take a while (it's about 1MB), and you'll need a lot of space on your P800 to unzip it. If you have around 5-6MB free, this shouldn't be a problem.

Having problems with Opera too. Trying to load google and the progress bar stops at 1k then I get "could not connect to remote server" error. Ok naman sa built in browser.

@jhermano- you must be using the www.globe APN. it didnt work for me too using that. if you can grab a prepaid SIM, you might want to try internet.globe APN. no charges for me so far.
i'm using prepaid on P800 so that it's safe in case Globe does something nasty.

to use opera... u need to use INTERNET.GLOBE.COM.PH at APN w/c will charge use P0.50/kb..
i tried using my postpaid.. ok naman.
but when i tried using my 2 other prepaids.. "not ready" daw.
(my 2 prepaid has gprs naman)
i tried using www.globe.com.ph as APN.. it will connect then.. wala.. (both post and prepaid)
so far, only ferr was able to use his prepaid and internet.globe.com.ph
ill find some old prepaid sim ...

@619- take note, with no charge whatsoever yet... at least this for this time.
i just checked my acct balance. P284. if you read back posts, my acct balance yesterday was P286.
i received 1.1MB since last night using Opera. i would have been charged P550 pesos already from my P300-load.
try looking for old prepaid SIMs. my SIM is 9xx-xxxx.

bb2323... try placing your P800 in the cradle and open your opera.. (u shld be connected, online ka via dial-up or cable.)

@ferr, seems like It's cool but why make yourself suffer with the small screen when you got the pc beside you. @pro, unless you registered with myglobe, they'll never know for sure who you are. One of prepaid's advantage.

Guys, still cant seem to use Opera with my post paid. Are you just supposed to change the APN only and nothing else. Do you have any ideas why Globe's regular APN wont accept Opera? Is this a problem with Opera or Globe?
I tried it on my bluetooth connection at home and it's great. Scary nga lang talaga ang bilis ng patak ng metro. It would probably be so easy to run up a huge bill. Maybe I'm better off with it not working. Kaya lang ang sarap sana to show it off

I think that I would prefer Globe still limiting www.globe.com.ph to WAP browse and make it remain free of charge and direct Opera to internet.globe.com.ph (w/ charge).

Whenever I try to get an MMS from Globe, I always get an error "Bad name"
