i'm looking for the original P800 pouch. anyone selling?
how about the rumored availability of such in GH stores, anyone bought from there?
Posted by andrewsj
I think they have dun sa Smart "wireless center" pare. I saw I few while having my gf's phone repaired. Don't have an idea though how much and if they're original.
Posted by dark_knight_r3turns
I think they have one in Semicon. They call it "P800 Business Kit". The price, if I'm not mistaken, is 1,846. Try this add: http://www.semicon.net/estore/pea_misc.asp

Hi All, Totally new here.
Was wondering if someone could assist. have a p900 and tried to buy/ download software from Handango. Could not complete because Philippines is on 'Export Control List' daw. Anyway around this?
perhaps there's a store in manila that I can get software for the p900. I'm really looking for a v1.42 of Remote P800, where I can use he phone through a PC window.
Thanks.
BTW, any idea which Japanese group sang the song 'Yours to Create' on the SE ads all over AXN these days?
Obrigada

Handango doesn't work for me too.
EDITED because ESATO does not promote piracy.

forgive the ignorance, but don't you just have to indicate your credit card no. and that's it? you just download their software from the web, then in order to purchase it online and get a key to unlock the app, just buy it by entering your credit card no.
why do you need to indicate your country code?
sorry, i haven't tried buying from handango before.
Posted by senninha
the problem with handango and many other sites is that the philippines has been placed on their ban list due to the high incidence of credit card fraud. although there have been times when i have gotten it to work for me...

Hi guys.
I'm new to this forum and i hope i have posted my question in the right forum: In your opinion, what's the best p900 case available in the manila right now? How much and where can you buy it?
My p900 is supposed to arrive anytime now and i'm on the hunt for a good carrying case. Thanks in advance.
Cheers!

i saw one p900 that has the seal of the presidency. alam nyo ba kung saan makukuha iyon? ano bang mga accessories na "must have" with the p900. will the holster that comes with the phone be enough to protect the phone?
Posted by teg
Anyone noticed that neither Globe or Smart offers a free P900 in their plans anymore? Anyone know why?
Posted by antski
maybe they don't have stock anymore.

is the P8's screen replaceable. mine's full of scratches from the stylus. is there any solution for this?
Posted by fw190
@roan24
Umm... I think the LCD panel costs around 8kphp (somewhere within that range). Too expensive.
I suggest you get a good protective sheet like Martin Fields. It will not fix your scratches but it will surely cover them up and make them unnoticable. (It's what I'm using now. I have some minor scratches.)
If you're the daring type, a I saw a couple of posts from this forum about a product called DISPLEX. I think it's some kind of polishing compound that should remove scratches.
Posted by roan24
gee thanks! where were you able to purchase your screen protector? how much?
i use rubbing compound for scratches, but only for other glass types. i think the P8's screen is not glass at all. i wouldn't want to ruin it. hehe!

roan, u can try semicon rockwell, ask them where you can purchase mfop..

@roan24
RE: Martin Fields Screen Protector --> where to buy
I asked a friend to buy me one when he went abroad...
However, I think some posters here are selling Martin Fields screen protectors for the P800... Nakalimutan ko lang yung nag-o-offer nun. Try doing a search on this forum.
As a cheaper alternative, you could buy a Brando screen protector for Palm pilot. Then cut it down to size to fit the lcd panel of your p800. (There's a Brando protector for P800 but I have not yet seen any for sale here...) You can buy Brando protectors in any computer shops that sell PDA's (electroworld and compex).

i've a question? is there a limit on how much external memory u could put in a P800? like what if 256MB MS duo or a 1gig MS pro?
Is it true that u could only put up to 128MB MS duo, maximum?
Posted by roan24
ace, 619, fw...
thanks for all the info. i will try looking for MF's and brando's.
do you have an idea how much the palm pilot screen protector costs? thanks!
by the way, is R2F still the latest FW?

I dunno about that. When the P900 was very hard to come by a few months back, SMART & Globe has them on their ads. But now that there is a somewhat adequate supply of the P900 they're not offering it anymore?
Posted by julia_ph
Martin Fields screen protectors are being sold at Aji Ichiban stores in Shangri-La Mall and Rockwell Power Plant -- c/o antski
Just ask the cashier

natanong ko na ito dati pero di nasagot ng mabuti e...sino na dito nakagamit ng appforge booster na software? delikado ba ito kapag ininstall? nakakasira ba? ferr 619 jepaz? hehheheheh:)

Could somebody please tell me where to buy a black pielframa case for the p900? Went to greenhills this afternoon and one of the shops in theater mall only had the tan-colored one. Thanks in advance.
By the way, saw several shops at the theater mall selling martin fields protectors. Hope this helps.

xerex.. havent tried appg or ename... waste of memory.
re mfop for P8/P9, you can ask semicon rockwell employee as to where you can buy it.

I've tried DISPLEX and it works well on watches, eye glasses and hard lensed cellphones. In order to use it properly, you have to wipe the scratched surface really hard. I dont think you would want to try that on your P8/P9.
Only solution is buy a new screen or just put a screen protector to prevent further damage.

Posted by jaemee_w64
@aqua
yes, it can. philips camcorder. u can download at http://www.my-symbian.com (info from senninha) coz i downloaded a philips camcorder beta version from kazaa it worked well but it doesn't have audio. so senninha told me to download the new version at the given site. I'll try it tonight.
@yet
I think its the best case, i bought senninha's piel frama for SE P800, well, package deal with the fone. He sold the case to me for 2K, used na ha. But It's really nice, parang bago pa, worth it. From Ebay, brand new costs $39 kaya and additional $10 for shipping and kung anu-ano pa.

i'm considering buying a P900... what is the best ph network to subscribe to? In terms of pricing and accessibility... please help me decide... thanks...
Posted by senninha
@rowena
i would recommend a smart addict line. you get free minutes and some consummable amount. (fully consummable plans of both networks don't give free minutes. something to consider if you make a lot of voice calls) plus gprs is faster and more stable than on globe. and with the exception of esato, which seems to be blocked on both globe and smart now, wap acccess on smart is open, unlike on globe which is limited to myglobe and affiliate sites. (kinda stupid. it's like your ISP only allowing you to browse its homepage and nothing else.)
also if you go to the province a lot, you will find a lot of places where your globe signal vanishes.
i have had an addict line for about a year now and, until a few weeks ago, a globe line which i finally terminated after 7 years. i can tell you from my own experience that if you are a serious data user, then addict is the way to go. don't get caught up in the globe marketing hype.
finally, if you just browse the esato boards, you will see a lot more threads with complaints about globe than smart. neither of the two are perfect. just that some are worse than others.
