he wants £400 million, they offered him £200

It's a Dubai investment firm (Owned 40% by a Qatari company).

It's natural that Doha's going to get in this. Soon enough the Gulf will own all the england teams LOL

Footie fans are a bit too aggressive and they will do anything for success. Stuff the Newcastle fans, Ashley came in to make money like every other owner. Whoever comes in will do the same. After these threats to Ashley's family, who would bother. Nothing could make Newcastle successful anyway, same applies to Man City, Robinho sells many shirts but thats about all.

Look at Arsenal, they have limited funds since the Emirates opened yet look at how they play; that is what football is about. It is a game but now its just a business, it will eventually end up like the Lehman joke.

well said badass.. im a spurs fan so if i can accept that arsenal are doing it right.. as soon as gallas has left or retired i hope it works out for arsenal doing it 'right' !

No fans have threatened Mike Ashley, we want him out but the supposed threat of violence has even been denied as being present by the police, he will gets loads of verbal but thats about it.

@ Cobra

Why should there be any kind of verbal abuse over a game? People use the phrase that fooball is a passionate sport but thats just an excuse to act like a thug.

I worked at West Ham for three years during uni. It would have to defend myself physically every match. Its a gang culture, when one fights or gives some racist remarks, everybody get involved. When I slap the b*tches up, they all wet themselves.

Sorry to offend but I can't be around such people. As for football as a sport, its all about results and cash. Its all about effective players, very little entertainment.

With all these big spenders coming in, it puts pressure on for instant success otherwise its a huge financial loss. Players and managers will come and go, clubs will go bust and this will just destroy the whole league.
