i have a w810i, and the other dya it stop working...kind off.
basically, when a theme has the little poppup background, such as the back ground benhind the big key when you lock the phone, that background is all i can see on the phone.
that and the status bar right at the top can be seen. when someone calls or txts, there is no ringing or vibration, just under the status bar it says answer/busy.
how do i get rid of this?

hi mate
it seems that you have a firmware bug. all you have to do is to flash the phone with the latest firmware.
you can read this tutorial or this one.
now, you will need some files that you can find in www.4shared.com

no, you need to backup before starting.
here's a program that allows you to backup contacts, sms, etc:
MyPhoneExplorer(MPE)
files like images, mp3s, videos et al must be moved to the memory stick or to PC. it's up to you

but i cant set it to phone mode only to file transfer mode, as i dont ge tth screen to show up on my phone to switch it. i just get that wierd screen

when you connect the usb cable, arent you able to select the phone mode?this gets a bit complicated here

i cant see any selections on screen all i see is the background screen to a popup, and it wont let me go up or down to select any mode.

Why can't you just use PC Suite from Sony Ericsson. Or let My Phone Explorer search for your phone automatically... If not, re-installation of your USB drivers may help you... Then you can start flashing your phone without interuption.

well i used SEtool to flash FW (main, and FS) into my phone, and now its working, but i lsot everything.
the probelm is im UK and the FW is amercian, so what the best EU/UK FW to use for the w810i?
(i know how to use SEtool now, so can i use that again to flash?)
also can i debrand and unlock using it aswell?
