hi! i'm new here so i hope you can help me guys. me and my fiance recently bought a P1i.
I am totally loving the phone not until i found out the autofocus thing doesn't work...it does the autofocus 'sound' but it does not autofocus(sorry for the redundancy). my fiance's p1i seems to work pretty fine. i have updated the firmware but to no avail. most shots from the cam are blurred and hazy...this problem is driving me nuts...
anyone with the same problem as mine?

sounds like a hardware issue to me, are you sure it isnt on infinate focus?
otherwise try the sony ericsson update service

First of all try master reset. If that doesn't help use SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) to update your phone's firmware. That should sort out all software related problems. So if it happens the problem to be hardware related, you will have to send the phone to the nearest
service center to get it repaired. And if the problem occured alone on it's own, you may get it fixed for free if it is still under warranty.

Enter to the secret menu (or Test Menu) in your P1.... and test the keyboard...
See if the AF button and Shutter button are identified... if they are not... you should dissasembly you P1 and check that all inside is fine.

I'm having the same problem... How did you fix the auto focus problem??
I update the firmware and did the master reset, and the problem still there.
